The Wilmot Riverside — Restaurant in Salem Lakes

I was there on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at The Wilmot Riverside with 4 of my Motorcycle Friends. It was my first Time there. I give the place 4 out of 5 stars. They have really Good Bacon Cheeseburgers. The reason that I did not give them 5 stars is because the service was a little slow when it came to the bartender & waitress taking our order. She brought the drinks with no problem. I had Soda because I don't drink & ride & I don't drink & drive. However she did not come back to take our food order for at least 20 minutes. Also when we placed our order, they screwed up on mine. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger. The Woman who took the order repeated it to me as she wrote it down. However when she brought the order, she brought a regular Cheeseburger with no Bacon on it. She did take it back & fixed it though. I just ask that they speed up their service a little bit. I would come back though because I liked the Bacon Cheeseburgers & I want to try some of...

I wish we would have chosen a different place for Friday night fish fry. They've been doung it forever but can't seem to get it right. First of all we waited an hour & a half for our food. I don't understand why since most of the other diners were done & left since they start fish fry at 4:30 & the drinking crowd hadn't filled it up yet. We put our orders in at just after 7. 2 of our table got their food first & were finished before the next person even got theirs. Then the food was just ok to not really so good. One of us felt the fried cod was a small portion for the money. The baked cod was a much larger portion. Everyone's fried food was overdone. Breading almost hard & my shrimp were way overcooked. I went here on a Saturday night with a buddy about a month ago. It was snowing so we had the bar to ourselves aside from an odd couple in the corner who kept staring at us. I don’t normally write reviews, but this is hands down my favorite bar in the entire world! From the outside it’s just another small town watering hole, but that’s the only thing about the Riverside that’s ordinary. The bar has a one of a kind ambiance and the service is unreal! The bartender is smoking hot and super friendly. She made us feel like we were the only ones in the bar the whole night and she even closed down early to go to after hours with us. Honestly one of the top 10 nights of my life! It’s a shame that I can’t rate it higher...
