If I would have know the things I do now, before I started, I would have never gone to this school. Most of the teacher are disorganized, unprepared, and not ready to teach. They are frantic and half time it seems like they don’t know what they are doing. You have teacher that grade to the extreme and teacher that are fair when it come to grading. They are unwilling to work with students if it doesn’t fit into there needs. But the moment it does fit there needs, they will bend the rules, and even change the contract you sign without notice. They can not give you a itinerary for your whole program. They will change things by term and without notice. The DNS will yell at students and half the time doesn’t answer emails for days on end, unless you mark it as important. There are teacher that tell you to cut the foley out a client that has passed because they are dead it’s fine. Which it is not fine! They also will call you a liar and put it in you record that your work is questionable. They make you feel incompetent most of the time (but you are student so you aren’t going to know everything.) they talk to you and treat you like you are children, instead of adults. I paid completely out of pocket for my Schooling and feel like I didn’t learn much from this school. If I didn’t have the history I had in the medical field I would feel extremely unprepared for the medical field. Take your money else where I would not recommend going there at all. I could honestly go on and on about this school.
They also tell you on the regular we are professional and we need to be held to hire standard. But then they will at unprofessional and when you mention it they do not like...
Read moreI recently graduated here as a 2025 LPN student. This school has taught me great life and educational lessons. To begin, I would like to mention a few instructors that ensured academic success. This would be Nick (MTH95), Cliff (WR121), and Damen & Valerie. Damen and Valerie made one of the biggest impacts in my success. They were kind, patient, and very educational. I was nervous beginning school here due to self doubt and whether I wanted to take the LPN route versus a straight RN route. Quickly, I was reassured with my decision and happy with my choice in the end. The family like environment was comfortable and helped me succeed and overall be a better nurse. My fellow students and I have created a life long bond that will never be forgotten.
Of course not everything with this school was perfect. As a night class, we were faced with a few struggles. A few times there was a shortage of supplies. This wasn’t exactly a set back, but it is something to note. I have high confidence that with the new building and upcoming programs, these supplies will not be missed. Secondly, I have found it difficult to find a school to transfer credits to bridge to my RN. I think IOT was a little bit misleading when providing information on bridge programs. Thankfully, a new upcoming RN program will be in place soon for future students.
As I have already, I would recommend this school to anybody thinking about applying. The staff is wonderful, the environment is comfortable, and overall the new building is beautiful....
Read moreIOT’s Practical Nursing program completely changed my life. Becoming a nurse has been my dream since I was a child, but life took a few detours—I had to put my degree on hold for several years. When I was finally ready to return, IOT welcomed me with open arms and gave me the tools, knowledge, and confidence to succeed.
The instructors and administrators truly care about their students and go above and beyond to help you reach your goals. The accelerated PN program was challenging, but the support I received, from staff, classmates, and my own determination made it possible to graduate while working full-time and raising my family.
Not only did I earn my LPN license, but I also gained lifelong skills, friendships, and a strong foundation for my nursing career. I’m now working full-time as an LPN in a supportive environment, continuing to learn every day, and encouraging others to take the leap into nursing school.
If you’re willing to put in the work, IOT will match that effort with mentorship, encouragement, and an education that prepares you for the real world. I’m beyond grateful for this school and the role it played in building a brighter future for me and my...
