I recently had the opportunity to utilize University Physical Therapy in Salem for physical therapy after a partial knee replacement. My recovery from surgery did not go as planned and I was prescribed physical therapy.
I did not know what to expect from physical therapy and was very timid when I came for my evaluation. I left the first day with a better understanding of what the plan was to get me back to normal activities, regain strength, have more confidence, along with an increased range of motion.
Deanna Palatucci and Anthony Redd are professional and open to any questions I had along the road to my recovery. When I would come in with a certain issue regarding my recovery journey, they had an answer, exercise or stretch for me to make it better.
There were times I was unsure of myself but received constant encouragement from them both. They are hard but fair and want the patient to succeed. The saying, āYou get what you put into itā is true. They also provided me with exercises to do at home and I believe I progressed quickly.
Tracy and the remainder of the staff I interacted with were also very friendly and knowledgeable.
At the age of 50 and feeling like I needed to learn how to walk again was very frustrating and daunting to me at times. I do not believe I would have progressed as quickly or become as physically strong as I am today without Deanna and Anthony. My family and I are forever grateful for their knowledge, patience and understanding. I would not hesitate to use them again or refer them to someone who is in need of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to University Physical Therapy for my tennis elbow. They were terrific. Tracy, the receptionist is very friendly and easy to work with. Deanna the physical therapist was extremely helpful and explained everything to me. She even gave me an article that was recently written up in one of her journals about tennis elbow. And she introduced to me a new exercise (I think it was new) that came from that article.
William is a step below a physical therapist. I donāt remember his title but he is terrific. He helped me as well and explained things to do and not to do. He watched me as I worked out and corrected things that I did incorrectly and explained to me why I was doing it wrong and why the other way is better.
I also have a problem with my sacroiliac joint. I asked Deanna if she could help and she said that she is allowed one month of sessions before I see the MD and then she will need an Rx for it. She gave me an adjustment that made a big difference. William worked on me for 2 more sessions after and did a wonderful job. I am unable to continue there for a while unfortunately , but I will go back if need be.
They all made me feel as if I was visiting with friends. I actually enjoyed going and looked forward to it.
I cannot believe that there is a better place to go for physical therapy then University Physical Therapy in...

I injured my right bicep tendon while playing drums live back in June. Honestly, I wasnāt sure I could recover without surgery. Thankfully, my doctor encouraged me to try physical therapy firstāand Iām so glad I did. Today, Iām fully recovered, and I truly believe the outcome was so successful because of the incredible people I worked with at University PT.
This wasnāt my first experience with physical therapy, but it was by far the best. From the very beginning, the team focused on my personal goals and worked diligently to tailor the process for my full recovery.
Cameron was my primary physical therapist, and he was fantastic. He approached my recovery thoughtfully, making sure we targeted the problem areas with the right exercises. He even adapted different techniques to meet my specific needs and challenges.
The clinic itself was clean, well-equipped, and easy to access with plenty of parking. The entire staff was welcoming, professional, and supportive throughout my recovery journey.
Iām back to doing what I loveāand I owe a big thank you to everyone at...
