charming little museum with the history of Salem/Roanoke. lots of history and artifacts to look at. neatly organized and well preserved. pretty quick museum trip but very enjoyable! friendly staff if you have any questions. admission was free, though they do accept donations if you're able to

The Salem Museum is a first class, local history site. They have modern, informative exhibits, friendly staff, a beautiful facility, and awesome programs. Be sure to check out the ghost tours and surround cemetery. A must visit while in Salem!

a small but interesting stop if you’re curious about local history. It has several well-done exhibits spread across multiple levels, covering everything from the area's early days to more recent events. I was lucky enough to visit during Andrew Lewis Weekend, and it made the experience even better—there were live historians in full period dress sharing stories about life in that era. It really brought the history to life in a fun and engaging way. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit and definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area and want to learn...

If I could give 10 stars I would. Not only is this museum lovely, but the staff is outstanding!!!! We held a graduation party here this year (2025) and it was AMAZING! The views and establishment are breathtaking. We had plenty of room. Staff was wonderful and really worked with us. I’d have a party there again in a minute! Visit the Salem Museum and find out for yourself how wonderful our...
