Coastal Hospice At the Lake — Local services in Salisbury

It's not easy making the decision to place a loved one on Hospice. I am so happy we chose Coastal Hospice at the Lake. The moment we walked into this beautifully maintained facility, we were greeted by the friendliest front desk staff imaginable. Respect and love poured out of everyone, and I mean everyone: Security, CNA's/techs, administrative staff, nurses, NP's, MSW, and spiritual counseling (props to Arnold). The housekeeping woman just came in and gave me a hug. I'm terrible with names, but honestly everyone was wonderful. You are allowed to visit 24/7, there is a shower for caregivers as well as a small cafeteria that makes spectacular food. There is also a lounge for caregivers and free coffee, tea and snacks for those who want them. Patient to staff ratio is impressively low, and caregivers all pitch in and help each other. Not sure we would have made it through this tough journey without that kind of support. Thanks to everyone at Coastal Hospice...

The staff are so caring, kind & compassionate. From the time we stepped foot inside with my Dad to him taking his last breath. Volunteers, techs, nurses, admins & housekeeping.
