I was doing some food shopping. My son was throwing a fit. I was getting beyond overwhelmed and anxious to the point that I was ready to break down and cry. The lady at my Foodlion was the sweetest soul ever, another young girl came up with these flower's trying to get rid of the Valentines Day flower's they had left for free, when I used to work at food lion, it's what they did. Out of all the people in the store. She came right up to me. I was overwhelmed, so I said no, thank you, I don't have the extra money for them today. She put them right in my cart an said no they are free." At this point, My son was still going nuts. She stood and my cashier was doing all they could in trying to play and keep him calm for me, while I finished getting my items rung up and pay for them. These women didn't have to do that. It meant the world to me, when I actually needed someone even for a second to be there for me they were and had no absolute idea. These two women I have never seen nor met in my life went out of their way to help me out more than they will ever know, mentally and emotionally. This is what great customer service is all about. We need more people in the world with a great attitude and a little compassion. You never know what someone may be going threw, mentally, physically or emotionally. I wish I cought both of their name's. I will be calling that store to give them praise!! I then went outside to load up everything, My son still throwing a fit, a sweet lady maybe my mother's age if not a little bit older walked up and said please let me help you. I see you have your hands full today, she said it reminded her of when her boys were that little. Just this all at one store happening to me. Has my heart filled with so much warmth today 💛 so heart Warming knowing their are still good people with good intentions out here. This whole post may seem so little but this was a huge thing in my eyes. This world needs more of these kind hearted souls, customer service is everything to me and they nailed it, just being themselves. I will never be able to thank them bith enough. The lady who wrong me up was on register one cashier 0135 Thank you and the other girl so much from the bottom of my heart ❤️ wish I cought her name as well as the other...
Read moreMy mother had an incredibly disappointing experience at this store, and I feel obligated to share it.
This morning, she was treated with open rudeness by a cashier named Amy Francoise (Cashier 0134). When she got to the register, she greeted her politely with a simple “How are you?” Her response: “I heard you.” Thinking she hadn’t heard her clearly, she repeated herself. She snapped back again with “I heard you,” then added, “I asked you that before and you said OK… did you miss the whole conversation we had?” Her tone was aggressive and condescending for absolutely no reason.
She didn’t respond to the disrespect—she just wanted to finish and leave. She looked at her badge to make note of her name and she immediately said, “It’s Amy Francoise—do you want me to write it down for you?” It was sarcastic and unnecessary.
She didn’t have time to speak to a manager, so I called later for her. The person who answered said their name was Amy. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was placed on hold… and no one ever came back.
If this is the level of customer service this store finds acceptable, her nor I will be returning. It’s really unfortunate—your brand claims to care about the customer experience, but this behavior shows the exact opposite. This kind of treatment should never...
Read moreChicken wings are delicious from here. Employees are always friendly but Food Lions in general are terrible because they have NO VARIETY OF FOODS. Only one, MAYBE two of most items!! I buy coconut sugar and they have only one kind which they are usually always out of. Variety of produce???? None....very small section if you compare it to Acme. No fresh seafood at all. No bakery, just a few small shelves of baked goods. I hate coming here unless I need a quick common food item. I’m from south jersey and we have a variety of grocery stores to choose from like Shop-rite, Acme, Wegmans(hands down best grocery store anywhere), Super Fresh, and good Whole Foods specialty stores like Trader Joe’s, etc. This area literally has nothing but one Acme(expensive) and only Food Lions. I find more...
