Spirits of the Wasatch Distillery — Local services in Salt Lake City

We went to Hammer Spring Distillers to do the tour of their distillery and it was AMAZING! JP the owner was super nice and he explained the process of how he makes his product. My husband and I were so impressed with how welcome JP made us feel and how passionate he is about his work. We also did the tasting of the vodka, gin and liqueur for $5 dollars a person, it was delicious and a great deal for how much tasting we did. We ended up buying his Habañero flavored vodka and the Perky Cowgirl coffee liqueur. We are thinking of going back on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 for the release of his bourbon and also going around December for his rum release. If we could give him more than 5 stars we definitely would! You need to check this place out. JP was a super cool character. He was very enthusiastic, and you can tell he’s very passionate about what he does. I learned so much thay I did not know before, but y’all want to know about how the tasting went, am I right? Let me start off by saying, I am a BABY when it comes to straight liquor, let alone GIN. I HAAAAAATE gin. That is to say, I’ll never drink it and have ZERO interest in having it in a mixed drink. However, the Gin made by Hammer Spring is absolutely delightful. I enjoyed the vodka, but the Gin. Oh, boy was the gin something special. My personal favorite was the Coffee Liqueur, while my husband enjoyed the habanero vodka most. Found out about Hammer Spring Distillers at Brewstillery and had to check out the distillery. My boyfriend and I went on Saturday and had the pleasure of meeting the owner and doing a tasting with him. We learned a lot about the process, how the company started up and the spirits that they made. Me and my boyfriend walked away with two bottles of the coffee liquor (highly recommend) and can’t wait to try drizzling over some ice cream this summer (thank you for the suggestion JP).
