Usually everything goes ok but today was the exception. While going up the escalator the basket was hung up on the bottom of the ramp. If you've been here before you know once you're on the escalator and someone gets behind you your pretty much done and going for the ride. Anyway up top two employees were up top getting order ready with about 4 baskets that were not being used at the moment. After explaining the situation I asked if we could take one because the other was now wedged on the bottom of the ramp. They said no because they needed them and ignored the fact that no other baskets could come up at that minute. Instead of giving us a basket and go investigate or report it she went down to see what was happening with the escalator for the carts and told us we had to go get another one but not the one that they had there already on the second floor. It doesn't make sense!!! Why on earth would she not give us one and bring on back when returns? She was going downstairs anyway. This visit was a major disappointment considering I have HEBs around my house but choose Nogalitos because it was a decent store up until today. We had to get bags of litter and it was rather difficult getting those bags. Anyway we did it but this was just proof that customer service has gone down the drain at most stores. Prices go up, pay goes up, service declines. Most visits had been pleasant but lately looking bac, this store is slowly going back to the way it was when employees...
Read moreI would like to give 5 stars but the only thing that holds this store back from doing so is the lack of room at the register to pay for your groceries needless to say for people who write checks the area which is selected for this purpose is always cluttered with merchandise the HEB seems to think it's necessary to push on to their customers while they're paying for the groceries already picked... Could usually always a real big bowl filled with Hill Country Fare merchandise 99% of the time and the other 1% is other brand items that are on special like candy bars by five for a dollar or something like that anyway dad being said the customers have to deal with these big huge bowls and the way when you're trying to pay for your groceries besides that all the employees are usually great helpful and happy to help you store is usually packed with groceries you need I frequent this store at least 3 to 4 times a week because I live in Southtown and this store has more groceries than the Flores and Julio cesar Chavez Boulevard.. location don't get me wrong stories great usually always clean but these giant containers are just in the way I mentioned it to employees and they agree I've even gone as far as telling a supervisor and they just nodded their head and you don't do...
Read moreThis store has an amazing selection! We were able to find everything we wanted/needed and finding a place to park in the parking garage was easy!
There was no wait for the elevator whatsoever.
My only issue was that some people parked crooked or just pulled in and didn't try to straighten up and it was difficult to find a path through the parked cars to go with a shopping cart.
As a matter of fact, we had to abandon our cart on the way out to our vehicle as there was a lot of traffic coming and going and we were unable to fit our cart between the cars. Thankfully we just had three bags so it wasn't a big deal, but hopefully there are areas to cut through the vehicles without worrying about dinging someone's vehicles. We didn't roam the entire garage to look for any areas, so if there are cart paths, awesome.
People coming and going, people trying to back up and park, it is a bit hectic and easy to get into trouble with all that's going on. Thankfully when we were there, everyone was paying close attention and there were no incidents.
We would definitely love to go back sometime, it is a unique experiance and parking in the garage is free!
It is worth the entire five stars!
The cashier that cashed us out and the bagger working that aisle were very friendly. I...
