SouthTown S.A. Inn — Hotel in San Antonio

I had a reservation at SouthTown S.A.Inn and when I came they refused to check me in because I had a medical/ service dog. I didn’t have paperwork with me. I usually bring those with me when flying ( the airport is the only place that requires you to have the paperwork)and this time I was driving. The person at the front desk was so rude he asked me “ Are you blind “ like only blind people would need service dog. Since I didn’t have papers he said he will charge me for the dog and I agreed to pay for it. While he was processing my card I mentioned that I would leave a review to let other people know they need to bring paperwork when they staying here with service dog. He returned my card back to me and said “ No you’re not leaving the review I have right to refuse the service to anyone “ Yes , You have right but also you should have a reason for it.Obviously you take pets and I was willing to pay since I didn’t have papers with me so that should not be the reason to refuse service and leave someone on Saturday night with no place to go just because you’re scared what they will...

The location shuns people away which is actually a BLESSING! It is a diamond in the rough. Quaint and tucked away. Not too far of a drive from anything. Free parking in a locked gate at night with an attendant that will let you in or out when needed. You wouldn’t expect it to have such beautiful rooms with all the amenities, but you get it all. Inexpensive and not one who charge by person but by room. They let us see the room before we decided to stay - after a really crappy stay in downtown that charged an extra $40 for parking where we still got a ticket!- This place was the shining star of my vacation, I didn’t want to leave: We ended up staying an extra night on our vacation and this will literally be the ONLY place we stay next time we are in San Antonio. MY HUSBAND AND I BEEN STAYING HERE AT THIS HOTEL, THE FIRST TIME WAS VERY CLEAN , WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL 6 TIMES BUT TONIGHT WAS HORRIBLE, ME AND MY HUSBAND WERE LAYING DOWN ON THE BED AND ALL OF A SUDDEN WE FELT BITES 😡 WELL GUESS WAT , I TOOK OFF THE SHEETS AND IT WAS FULL OF BED BUGS , WE GOT BITTEN , AND THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR 2 HOURS, WE SHOULD OF GOTTEN OUR MONEY BACK , SO BE Careful, WERE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL TO GET CHECKED 😞 THINK BEFORE STAYING THERE...
