We have purchased all of our outside furniture from here. Our oldest pieces are 2+ year’s old and still look brand new. The service and selection is top notch. They are not the cheapest in town but they are the best.

This is an upscale patio furniture store—review is not reflecting quality of products in store. Products in-store are made with sunbrella and fabric, which is pretty much the most expensive patio stuff you can buy. Nothing in here is cheap.

We had a very poor experience in this store yesterday (8/27) at around 2pm. We came in looking to buy a sunbrella fabric umbrella, and were prepared for the cost. Upon the store not having the color we desired in the sunbrella fabric, I asked about placing a custom order.

The saleswoman was extremely unhelpful and discouraging of our requests. We asked how we could go about ordering an umbrella. The woman immediately said “oh, that’s going to take at least 12 weeks.” And nothing else. We said “ok, no problem.” I had to request on my own to see fabric colors, as the sales lady immediately stopped helping when we mentioned an order. She repeated 3 times in a negative tone “it’s going to take 12 weeks MINIMUM.” We looked through the fabric and selected a color. I had to call the woman back over (despite there being no other customers) and requested to order an umbrella in the shade we chose. She informed us that an order would cost $250 extra on top of the cost, and walked away. A few minutes later, she goes “oh, I forgot...there’s actually another fee, you have to buy the base of the umbrella too, that’s an additional $250 (I think was what she said). Anyway, it brought our total up to around $2600 for the umbrella that was $2k in the showroom. While we were sitting there, my husband found the same umbrella on patio galaxy for $2,014–with free shipping. We did not tell the saleswoman that.

We had been sitting under the umbrella we were looking to buy with our baby. At this point, the woman came over and asked us in a rude tone if there was anything she could do to help us. I said that we were looking at prices online and just trying to figure out if we wanted to order through them, or through a different site. The woman told us we’d be better off ordering somewhere else, and tried to get us to leave! She goes “we don’t match online. Is there anything else?”

At this point, I made a comment to the woman about how discouraging she was being. She defended herself by saying that they really don’t do orders. My husband then asked sweetly what kind of deal she could offer on the umbrellas on the floor if they couldn’t help with an order. The woman snapped at him “we don’t offer deals here. We have a lot sunk into inventory and they cost what they cost.” 🙀🙀🙀

My jaw dropped. I’ve never been treated such a way in a customer service environment. Anyone with any experience shopping for furniture knows that furniture stores typically negotiate cost on in-store inventory.

I’m not mad about the cost. I’m mad about the customer service. You have one job in that store: to help the customers buy your ridiculously expensive patio furniture. There’s no need to be rude and discouraging, and the refusal to budge on prices I believe was just this woman being tart. Explain why there aren’t any prices listed on your umbrellas in the store if they can’t budge???...

My wife and I are just finishing our forever home and wanted to get quality patio furniture. We looked several other places but either didn't find a good selection or the furniture was overpriced. When we visited the IH-10 location of Home & Patio we were greeted by the owner who took the time to show us what they had and answered all of our questions. We ended up purchasing a dining set as well a couch, two chairs and a table. Since we weren't finished with our house they said they would gladly keep it in their warehouse until we were ready for it. On the scheduled delivery date they arrive early but within the stated delivery time. Overall we were extremely pleased with the very high quality of the furniture, the warranty and the customer service. We will definitely be purchasing more patio items from this locally owned business. Thanks for the awesome care you...

I really liked the furniture and the quality of the items in this store. The service was friendly in person however the follow up on commitments was poor. The representative here promised me a call back on shipping time frames for the table I wanted. I did not receive that call back. I was told the 410 store may have more options so I called them and they said they would check the warehouse and call me back. He took my info and confirmed it twice. No call back either. For a company selling items that rival the prices of companies like Basset that give free in home consults for design I was shocked. The service from Home & Patio does not match their prices and I’ll take my money elsewhere where someone actually...
