First time to Brasão Steakhouse, one of the newer churrascuria restaurants to open here in San Antonio. The place was packed so it's always a good idea to get reservations. Masks still required in common places and when interacting with staff. I've been to a "few" churrascurias here in S.A. and even to one in Rio de Janeiro and this place is pretty much at par with what one can expect. The staff where very courteous, friendly and helpful and efficient. Very good salad bar with fresh and very tasty items. You may be tempted to keep going back but try to restrain yourself. You wouldn't come here for salads only would you? Some might but what's the point? It is a Brazilian barbecue place after all. The meats 🍖 ♥ 😍. Great variety of cuts from beef, pork, lamb and chicken. All well cooked and seasoned. They even had grilled pineapple with a honey cinnamon glaze. No complaints from me. The lamb was not gamey at all. I think you can pre order a special cut not part of the usual rotation. Our next door table-neighbor had those giant beef ribs served to them. So jealous. They could do with some sauces like chimichuri. Not sure if any are available. Didn't ask. Main thing is to pace yourself. They have a great selection of cocktails, wines and other potent potables. They do have bottled water which they seem to be pushing a little too hard? Prices typical of this kind of restaurant but you do get good value for your hard earned money. So do come hungry. Update! Loved the place souch that I had a large party here for my birthday! 40+ people. Making the reservations was easy as pie! No prepayments, no hassle at all. They were very flexible as well when my head count kept changing. Thank goodness they don't charge for no shows. I had 3 not show up because of a household emergency.

TLDR: Not the best experience. I love Brasao and frequently go to the location in Irving, TX, however the San Antonio location did not give me the same first impression. I brought my partner here for the first time and I wish it was the other location because it didn’t do justice to how I usually feel going here. We were seated away from the usual crowd (I mentioned it was date night) which is supposed to give it a more intimate feel, sure, but the lighting was far too bright to make it feel that way. The other location had the curtains to combat this and maintain the ambience throughout the restaurant. In addition, we felt as if it prevented us from receiving the other selections of meats. I had to ask, just to make sure, if we would be able to have various choices, and one of the servers confirmed there were 15 different choices. We saw maybe 6, 7 at most. On the bright side, everything we did have come to our table was very good for the most part, just wish we could’ve had the rest. As far as the hot dishes, they are okay, the mashed potatoes were cold by the time they hit our table, but the bread rolls are awesome. Lastly, the service was great. They made sure we were good at all times, and we felt cared about as customers. I tipped 20% as they definitely deserved it. To summarize: The service was awesome but the setup could be improved to make sure everything available was circulating through the restaurant for all customers. Coming to steakhouses, you expect to spend money, but I don’t see myself coming back to this location as I don’t think it was worth it. Shoutout to the servers though 🙌🏽

Really an amazing experience. A little hard to get to for the first time. The décor was awesome. We went to celebrate a birthday at lunch, and we're pleased to see the whole menu was still available. With many favorites still in place from other Brazilian steakhouses we were excited for the sirloin with mozzarella. Everything tasted so good and the prices were comparable. Much closer location to our part of town, so it was great for a lunch. Aug 2021 Just had one of the best birthdays ever at Brasao. There were 11 of us and we went for the whole experience accept for 1 friend whom only had the salad bar (love that they do that here). We got an array of desserts and soo many drinks around the table. Our main waiter Adrian and another waiter Derek really made our night amazing and special. They gave amazing drink suggesting, dessert suggestions, some specialties of how they have seen things served (fried banana with condensed milk was amazing, thanks Adrian). As a fairly large group we did get a bit rambunctious, but they really read the table well and would joke with us. I cannot explain how the care, attention, and attitude really made the night. The food is amazing as always. Great environment, meat was cooked very well. Their roasted pineapple, parmesan encrusted pork, cognac marinated chicken legs, and mozzarella stuffed sirloin are phenomenal additions to the typical Brazilian steakhouse fare I have become accustomed to. All of the Desserts and drinks were amazing. I especially suggest the Flan, Flaming cheesecake, Pineapple Basil cocktail, and the pineapple coconut Caipirinha.

Brasão was hands down my favorite spot and I would take everyone for every occasion here because of their prices, food, and great customer service. Today will be the last time I go. During lunch, which I’ve been to plenty of times, now they nickel and dime you just like fogo de chao. It used to be a one cost and you get every meat and amazing service. Now there are two separate cost and the lower cost as limited meats so you can watch other meats you’re not eligible for pass you by, and as you wave down meats since they only keep bringing the same two, they tell you oh that one isn’t included in your meal. I was with others and said I wanted to upgrade because I specially went for lamb chops. They said no. Since I was the only one at the table that wanted to upgrade which would be the dinner price now for all the meats during lunch, since they were eating the executive I could only have the executive. Don’t forget to mention the water they serve you out of the bottle will be $4.95 and they will keep filling it to charge for as many bottle waters as possible, this place is a disappointment. Used to be a respectable establishment and I’m disgusted with the way it is being run now. A manager came to talk to me and my server who has been there for two months said they have always had two prices for lunch. No, you have not, I pay for every single person at every single meal so I can tell you exactly how much it cost per person because I used to love bringing people to my favorite spot for years. I’m no longer wasting my time or money going here.

We went for my husband's birthday last weekend. We have been to Chama Gauzcha before, but Brasao prevailed in both food and customer service. The customer service was absolutely impeccable from start to finish. I can't remember experiencing better anywhere else. The meal was divine. Their meat selection was extensive and diverse. Every meat I tried was prepared to perfection. They also offered grilled pineapple that was delightful. I enjoyed a Frozen Margarita that was SO smooth and delicious. It was made with Corazon Reposada, and was positively the best margarita I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. The Carrot Cake melted in my mouth and was perfectly paired with a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. It was the perfect end to a perfect meal/experience. My husband was given his choice of any free dessert (not just 1 or 2 choices like other restaurants). He chose Strawberry Cheesecake, which was also delectable. It is pricey but meat and quality ingredients are expensive. However, the price is comparable with that of other Brazilian steakhouses. They DO GIVE MILITARY DISCOUNT. While we can't afford this all the time, it IS worth the price and we will definitely be making it an annual or semi-annual dinner.

My fiancé and I recently celebrated a special lunch at BRASÃO Brazilian Steakhouse, and it was an incredible experience, thanks in large part to Matthew #2, our server. Having dined here numerous times before, we can confidently say Matthew #2 is one of the best servers we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, Matthew #2’s attentiveness and attention to detail stood out. He noticed my fiancé’s purse and immediately provided a purse holder—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for exceptional service. Throughout our meal, he ensured our drinks were refilled before they were even halfway empty and frequently checked in to see if we had any dietary restrictions or special requests. He even asked if there was anything specific we’d like to have sent our way, making our dining experience personalized and seamless. The food was excellent as always—each cut of meat was perfectly prepared, and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. But Matthew #2 truly elevated the experience, making our celebration even more memorable. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have Matthew #2 as our server again. Thank you, BRASÃO, for an amazing meal and top-notch service!
