I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting LaCantera Golf Club and Resort, and let me tell you, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, Director Aaron and T-Rex went above and beyond to ensure my visit was nothing short of amazing.

First and foremost, the course itself is a true masterpiece. Nestled in the breathtaking Texas Hill Country, the views from every hole were simply awe-inspiring. The lush green fairways, meticulously manicured greens, and stunning natural surroundings make it impossible not to fall in love with this place. It truly is a golfer's paradise.

But what truly sets LaCantera Golf Club and Resort apart is the incredible hospitality and warmth extended by Director Aaron and T-Rex. Their attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and genuine care for their guests' experiences were second to none. They made me feel like a VIP, ensuring every aspect of my visit was flawless.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention my fellow tee time mates, TJ Ford and Floyd. They added an extra layer of enjoyment to the day, bringing their contagious energy and love for the game. It's in moments like these that you realize golf is not just a sport but a means to create lasting connections and memories.

Our recent visit to La Cantera Golf was beyond frustrating and extremely disappointing. The Marshall completely messed up our tee time despite us clearly stating that our reservation was at 8:10 AM, he had another group go ahead of us. When we tried to explain, he acted like he didn’t believe us and dismissed our concern altogether. To make matters worse, when I finally teed off and missed a shot, he sat in his cart making mocking faces completely uncalled for and unprofessional. His attitude was rushed and impatient, all because he made the mistake, yet somehow we were made to feel like we were the problem. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially considering the amount of money people pay to play here. The environment was unwelcoming from the moment we arrived, and the staff showed no interest in providing a positive experience. It honestly felt like we were being profiled, which is incredibly disappointing in a place where everyone pays the same green fees. La Cantera Golf acts like it’s hosting a PGA tournament when in reality, it’s just a local course with average facilities and a serious customer service problem. If the staff spent less time pretending to run a championship tour and more time treating players with respect, maybe the experience would reflect the price. A Disgrace to Hospitality

I have never witnessed such blatant disrespect and elitism as I did at La Cantera. The so-called “manager” of this establishment displayed behavior that was nothing short of classless and repulsive.

A gentleman who had just finished his round of golf was simply enjoying a drink at the bar when this manager rudely approached him and told him he had to leave—claiming he didn’t “fit their aesthetic.” Excuse me? Since when does a golf club, a place meant for relaxation and camaraderie, get to dictate who is worthy of being there based on such a ridiculous and exclusionary standard?

The way this man was treated was disgusting—completely unwarranted and humiliating. If this club values exclusivity over decency, then they should at least be upfront about their shallow, gatekeeping policies. The manager clearly lacks any understanding of hospitality, let alone basic human respect.

If you’re looking for a place with integrity, where people are treated with dignity regardless of some arbitrary and elitist “aesthetic,” then steer clear of this establishment....
