I lived here for a full year and I can truly say I enjoyed it. Maintenance personnel and the office staff, for the most part, were very helpful and respectful. Office staff was very professional. Jae was the one who interacted with us the most. She did a great job! ;) The reasons I chose to live at Rio Springs were: 1) Location near Toyota plant and near Walmart, HEB, and mall. 2) Staff was willing to accommodate us in our move from Colorado. 3) The apartments were newly renovated. 4) Good price. I worked at Toyota for half a year. It would take me anywhere from 15-20 min to get there in the morning. My wife and I lived in a newly renovated studio apartment. For the most part, the apartment looked good. I would give the renovation an 8 out of 10. The new carpet had staples poking out around the edges and the paint would easily come off the cabinets when lightly bumped with a hard object. Btw, when we were moving out, the office staff was very understanding of our situation. Thank you! My greatest pet peeves from living here were: 1) No TRUE recycling system! I understand this, in great part, is due to residents not following correct procedure. They dump their garbage in the recycling bins. Nonetheless, management should try to establish countermeasures to extinguish this negative behavior. 2) The wooden boards on the landing of each floor are very old, at least in our building (#10). Every time I would walk on these I was concerned for my safety. I think theses should be replaced sooner rather than later. As a summary of my experience, these apartments are a good deal for what is being paid for. Of course, there are always things that could be improved, but it is always good to keep things in perspective, these are apartments in the $500 -$1000 range (approximately).

Worst experience I’ve ever had with apartments. I parked in this spot and left it there for 2 months because i had to fix the windshield. Today it gets towed and the office lady was very rude telling me to “buy a reserved spot”. How are we supposed to know if it’s reserved if it does not say it. If everyone works and comes home at night I shouldn’t have to park 4-5 buildings down in a sketchy apartment that does not close there gates. Simply put is if I leave my car on a spot that does not say reserved it should not be towed. Do not move here, I’ve had multiple issues with roach infestation, maintenance does not properly fix anything. Everything was bare able until they hired this new office lady who does not know how to properly calm residents down or talk to them. When they evict people they leaves their belongings outside for weeks through the rain and it ends up smelling awful and Rots. When I first moved In they didn’t repaint anything that the previously tenant painted blue. I showed up one day and my whole front door was unlocked and there were men inside doing something for the building that I did not give permission or know about to enter my home.

These apartments are in superhuman condition. The laundry as you can see in the video totally disgusting, and smells of urine. Trash all over the floor, food and cigarettes. I am a resident and I took the task of at least disinfecting the area a bit but that is not really my responsibility. The management of these apartments are irresponsible when it comes to cleaning the common areas and the maintenance of the units, but nevertheless to demand the rent or to demand that we remove something from our balconies they are the fastest in the world. We are in a pandemic and they are not given the task of at least cleaning the areas that everyone uses constantly. For future people who think for a second about moving here DO NOT DO IT, the rent is too much for what they offer you and the photos on their page are a lie.

The worst apartments EVER! Took a whole 364 days to get my deposit back! A day shy of a year! Starting with Angel the previous manager! My end of lease notice was not processed so had to be redone when asked when the deposit refund would be made angels words were “they will get to it when they get to it” talking about accounting. Then Cindy takes over! The worst decision for the company! Don’t know how she can live with herself knowing she is trying to rob and steal from residents! She told me my deposit went to damages. I asked to speak to her she told the front assistant she was not coming out to speak to me, which I overheard her tell him. I contacted Veronica the Regional Mng who said she couldn’t do a thing I had to talk with the property manager Cindy. I then email the CFO Maggie informing that I had photos of proof that my apt was left in good standing! I received no reply but the email was forwarded back to Cindy, which I know because when I went back in I was greeted by Cindy with a,“oh so you’re the one who contacted Maggy, I always come out to speak when I am requested” she lied straight to my face! Then she processed with the deposit was not payed! I suppose since I had proof there was no damages she needed another lie. I asked for a ledger which showed the deposit but due to the front desk person at the time of taking the deposit, a reason was not listed for the deposit. She continued with lies and ignorance. I emailed Maggy again to receive a email that she was no longer with the company and my email has been sent to the CEO Shanti. It was not till Shanti was involved that finally Cindy started to participate. Saying she would request my the photos of my money order from home office. Took a other month and did not hear from her. She then sends me a email saying “ So, I have researched more into the monies that you have spoken about, and I with the help of my Supervisor we have found that the monies was paid as rent” my rent was prorated and was payed, over payed to be exact which shows on the ledger to leave a credit aside from the deposit. Within two hours I received a other email saying “ Sorry I heard my supervisor wrong; we will be refunding you the security deposit” so she once again lied, fabricated a story of looking into the money. Then I am told by HER she will contact me when the check is in office. I give her a whole month and still no response so reach out to see what’s going on. I am replied with “ I was under the impression that you might have received already since I have not heard from you” I was dumb founded! When she said she would contact me when it was in, how would she assume it was received when she never contacted me. The check finally comes in and she says in the email the office hours and times. I go in when it’s suppose to be open and the office is locked, with the open sign on. I waited 10 min and nothing. Till finally the next day I go back and finally get my deposit on Dec. 30th one day till my least was up a year ago. She should be fired! Not only that I don’t understand how someone can fabricate so many lies …1)deposit was payed towards damages…2)the deposit was never payed…3)the deposit that was “never payed” went towards rent…I can’t even imagine the others she does this to who just let it go. Who knows she probably pockets the money! Also a Pet deposit was made which I should have received half back but it was never on the ledger! And apparently the lease agreement shows a pet deposit for everyone and somehow my dogs size and breed which Angel had to approved of was missing! Who knows she probably made that disappear on the lease! But since there was no proof of it I couldn’t fight it like the other deposit. Don’t even give this apt a chance! Cindy will lie to your face! Disrespect you! And act completely ignorant! This shouldn’t be tolerated! She should not have a job there! Charles was the only good person in this whole situation! Never was rude or disrespectful! The only one to treat me like a human being! Thank...

I'm writing this review to express my frustration and discontent regarding a serious issue I've been facing. I am a resident of almost 2yrs and rarely ever had serious problems with Rio Springs. I have been patiently waiting for Management to call or any form of response for almost a month now. This is regarding a traumatic domestic violence incident that occurred at my apartment, necessitating my child and me to move out due to serious safety concerns. A few months have passed since we last stepped foot in our own apartment. (I go every few weeks to check up on it as I still have belongings in there)…I've personally handed all the required documentation - my case number, official papers describing the incident, documents from the Bexar County Department -to your office. Upon submission, I was told I would receive a call within a day or two. Sadly, this promise has not materialized. It’s been almost a month now. Despite not living in my apartment, I've continued to fulfill my financial obligations by paying the rent. I'd like to emphasize that I am not seeking to terminate my lease out of convenience but out of necessity for our safety. However, it's disheartening that while I receive prompt emails and texts about payments, there's a deafening silence on the status of my situation which leads me to think they are not taking this matter serious. The times I have called for an update, I get forwarded to the apartment complex voicemail. Furthermore, only my child and I are listed on the lease, and never accommodated any outsiders. I’ve always maintained a clean living environment. The threat we're facing was inflicted by a third party, However, due to this incident, myself and my child cannot dwell there anymore as our safety has been compromised. I'm eagerly STILL awaiting a response and further...
