I am giving Nova Nail Spa 1 star because the technician ripped the dip powder off of my fingernails. I paid for the dip removal in which the technician ripped off the dip with cuticle pliers. My nail beds were damaged in the process. The dip removal should have been removed with a nail drill. She would have left my nails a mess unless I paid extra money for her to fix it. I was charged $35 for her to vigorously and painfully buff my nails with no polish and then quickly leave to go to another client. Additionally, they showed me a price card for the advanced pedicure and then gave me a different price from what the price card showed. They use their lack of English to get away with it.
I wouldn't call this place a spa. A spa is a place where you go to relax and people take care of you. Their prices are high. I wouldn't have minded paying if they were nicer and took care and time with their clients. I told the owner about the nail bed ripping, and the tech insisting I get a manicure in order to fix it, and she wouldn't give me any portion of my money back. The owners are only interested in money and they want their workers to be quick with their clients. If you want to pay a premium go somewhere where they actually give you premium service including taking their...
Read moreI went in on a Tuesday for a manicure and pedicure, and the nail tech recommended a tap gel that was supposed to be long-lasting and easy to maintain. However, just four days later, my nails started peeling off, and my natural nails were left damaged and short.
When I returned on Monday to request a refund, I was met with rudeness. I explained that I didn’t want any other services because my nails were wrecked, but the staff only offered me a gel color that didn't compare to the original service price of $106 plus a $20 tip. The gentleman I spoke with raised his voice and dismissed my concerns, insisting I calm down, despite my calm demeanor.
The nail tech who did my nails was sweet and tried to advocate for me, but the man wouldn’t listen. I've been a loyal customer, but this experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I've since disputed the charge with my bank because I didn't receive the quality product that was promised. I won’t...
Read moreI’ve been to my fair share of nail salons and this is hands down the absolute BEST salon I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been coming since 2016. Immediately David, the owner became a great friend and excellent conversationalist. His wife is also extremely warm and welcoming. Thai always makes sure I drink lots if water while I’m there after he found out I am battling an autoimmune disease. I’ve never ever had even close to a bad manicure. On the contrary, they may go a little too far in trying to make my nails perfect. I always say I’m not a hand model, so don’t worry so much, but it really speaks to their work ethic and pride in their craft. Every technician is absolutely amazing (seriously) and the tools and facility are sanitized, gleaming and spotless. Try the new powder dip manicure, it’s stunning. You will not be disappointed here, I...
