We are seated at around 8pm on a Sunday night by a very nice waitress. We get our appetizer and drink orders in, then our food:
Appetizers: "2 lbs" of JUMBO wings
Large Hawaiin Pizza Salad of some sort Fish Tacos Chicken Wrap Guacamole Burger
10 minutes later, waitress comes back and asks if they wanted grilled or fried fish, which means she hasn't even started it yet. 45 late minutes later, we get our food, along with the appetizers. I don't know about you, but appetizers are supposed to come BEFORE the food. And to add to that, the waitress says "Your burger is going to take a little longer." If any of you have heard that before, it usually means that they completely forgot about it. I asked the waitress "We are on a time crunch, did you guys even start it yet?" She finally admitted that they didn't start on the burger yet.
So I told her to forget about it, I will just eat the appetizer that came late. Our drinks were refreshed once the whole night
The food here is not up to a TGI Fridays or a Chile's standard but it's edible. A little overpriced for what you get. 2 lbs of JUMBO wings turned out to be 1 lb of regular sized wings, nothing jumbo about them.
The pizza was under-cooked, could taste the dough on the inside. Fish tacos and the wrap were apparently pretty good.
On a Sunday night in a half empty sport's bar, you wouldn't expect to have such terrible service, but we did. And the waitress was not new, when I asked what kind of burger did she like the best here, she replied "Oh I NEVER eat from here!" At least lie to us! You could of up-sold me on your most expensive burger. Not that it would arrive or anything...
I am only deducting one star for having such a bad waitress since I have only been here once (and never again), the rest of the stars they lost for poor food quality with higher than normal prices.
Also, no happy hour on...
Read moreI had not eaten at an Oggi's location for a few years as I had moved out of the area. So I dined for the first time this past weekend.....and I was a little letdown. Here are my ratings and explanation....
Overall-3 stars Food-3 stars *Chix sliders were very good *Beef sliders were overcooked and dry *Garlic knots are still good *Calezone was a letdown. The crust was thing and tasted like flour rather than a baked crust of bread. *Kids meal (mac n cheese) was not much of a kids meal or special in any way
Service- 4 stars
Atmosphere-2 stars *This location is really tired. Not only is it tired, it feels junky. Odd pieces of furniture, some random dirty old fish tank, and "stuff" on every counter, shelf, nook and cranny. They would do well to just clean this place out of all the unnecessary or unsightly stuff. *Its really dark inside. I understand its a sports bar, but does it need to feel like a dark dirty bowling alley? *Games werent working....we were told they had an electrical fire. Knowing that confirms my feeling like this place hasnt seen a lot of regular maintenance. *Lots of extra staff hanging around. It wasnt busy, but why are there extra staff hanging around the bar and rec. Does the restaurant need a place for staff to hangout before their shift starts. *The AC was not working great, it was leaking from the ceiling.
I have like Oggi's for many years. This location just needs some significant updating to the restaurant......and some better staff in...
Read moreWe went to Oggi’s on a whim for lunch on a Friday afternoon last week about between 2-3p. There was no wait for a table because we were told to seat ourselves, also not greeted at all. Which made us want to leave but I’m pregnant so I needed to eat then and there. Once we sat ourselves, the hostess/server who has just picked up menus from another table after taking their order looked over at us and just slung our menus on the table and walked away. Still, no greeting, still debating whether we should leave or not. When she walked over to take our drink order, she had a tiny smirk and asked what we were having to drink and told us she’d return. We ordered the pesto shrimp pasta which barely tasted like pesto, it had way too much sauce in it. We also ordered a salmon Caesar salad, the salad barely had any dressing on it and so we asked for more dressing. The Caesar dressing was pink and it tasted more like thousand island. The server assured us it was Caesar without suggesting to take it back to the kitchen confirm it was what we asked for. I also work in the service industry and I understand that we’re human as well. The service we received was all out unacceptable. It was negligent from the time we walked in, and very much unappreciated. We even tipped her at the end which she didn’t really deserve in our opinion but that’s the game of eating out. The atmosphere would’ve been a 5 had she added to the presence of the establishment. I’ve been treated better at other Oggi’s so I understand this is not an all out Oggi’s...
