I went in today (5/19/24 around 5 PM) and DID NOT have a pleasant experience. Mind you this is probably one of the best Plato’s I’ve been to clothes wise, I ended up buying around $400 worth of stuff. But with that my sister and I tried on A LOT of stuff. It was nice one of the girls offered us a bin to put stuff in while we kept shopping since we had so much but my sister and I mixed our stuff together. I kindly asked the girls if we could share a fitting room basically because of that to which they said no and I completely understand. Then I walk over to the fitting rooms to wait for one to be unlocked and I can hear the girls saying how wired it is to share a fitting room with family members when you’re adults and that they haven’t done that since they were kids. My sister and I are 20 and 18, we were dressed nice and respectable no reason to think we were “weird,” they were just plain out rude. I also prefer sharing a fitting room because I have pretty bad social anxiety and don’t like stepping out of the fitting room to show my sister stuff. Also whoever is these girls boss/manager the girls were talking bad about and cussing for the whole store to hear the whole time I was there I could hear them and was listening. Honestly my jaw dropped because I work in customer service and I couldn’t believe the way they...
Read moreI came in on Saturday, 8/17/24 at 5:30pm. I used to go to the El Cajon location, but thought I would try this location as I've moved and this is the closest location to me. I brought my two bags up to the counter, and the woman working at the counter told me they stopped taking potential buys over an hour ago because they were busy, and that next time I should call before I come. I drove 30 minutes to come here and had to leave without them looking at my two bags because "they were busy" (there was a total of 4 customers walking around in the store). I have been to other Plato's that were much busier and they still took my bags. Nowhere on the website or in the store does it say that you need to call before you come and that they close the potential bag buying early. Why would I call before I came when I arrived at 5:30pm and they are open until 9pm? Every single time I went to other locations, they would take my bags and say come back in 1-2 hours. I don't understand why she refused to take my two bags when they were going to be open for another 3 and a half hours. It is extremely asinine, disappointing, and unprofessional to make up rules that aren't even a part of the company's official policy just because you don't want to do your job. Do not waste your time and gas coming...
Read moreI love it here. Good prices for clothes.
Selling clothes here is eh. I’ve seen reviews where people are unhappy at how their selling experiences go-
I recommend
2)Be prepared to wait some time. If I try selling clothes here (I don’t because they never offer enough money for amount of items you bring and quality items too)- but when I have tried selling clothes here I plan ahead. I call and expect it to take time. I like to try to sell on days where I know I’ll need about an hour to look at a lot of clothes and try them on. Or run errands in the area and come back when I’m done.
When I’ve planned ahead this way, it’s not bad selling here. My only complaint selling that you can’t plan around? Is that they never offer enough money.
Plato’s and places like this for them buying your clothes and then selling it in the store, they don’t usually buy much… besides that, I recommend buying clothes here!
I LOVE buying clothes at Plato’s. I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience buying clothes here.
Plan ahead and give...
