Dear patients at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, I never thought that I would ever share such horrible details with you. But I have to do this to warn you! And now you will understand what I am warning you about. You will say that I could discuss everything that happened to me with Dr. Suhar, who is the director of this department, and my attending physician. And you will be right, I sent him a special notification through the hospital system, and guess what, he ignored it, pretending that he does not know me and does not care what happened to his patient! What do you think a doctor can do to his patient, who took the Hippocratic Oath ! I think you know the answer, no matter how horrible it sounds. Тhat's what happened at Scripps integrative department in San Diego, Ca. I was a patient there. After a couple of calls from administrative officer at 7 am in the morning with the warning about payment that I have to pay out of pocket, i was sent home, after I tried to explain them that I called to my insurance, talked to a manager, and was informed that my referred sessions from my doctors was approved and covered. Next time I made an appointment and came to get my session done, they insisted on signing some paperwork, which I refused, since the insurance people I called explained to me that everything is covered and I don't need to sign anything. I was trying to get in touch with my provider, to let them know that it's already my third time I came and they sent me home, and they called security! I was ashamed and couldn't hold my tears back. They did it again with another provider with referral to a different treatment. I sent them a message asking them tо stop mocking me as a person and a patient, and what they did, was Unbelievable ! They sent a letter with a notification that I was excluded from the department, and cancelled all my future visits with doctors, even with a cardiologist! I am shocked and I am deeply offended! I had an appointment with my cardiologist(Dr. Suhar) there, and I had so many things to tell him about my health issues, but unfortunately I was not able to do it, because they were cancelled!!j And now I can ask you dear people, when did it ever happen that a medical care visit for a patient would be cancelled by someone without medical education and status and without the consent of the attending physician? My health has deteriorated sharply, everything that I and my doctors have worked on has gone down the drain, and then can you even think that doctors and administration protect their patients and fight for their well-being and their health??!!...

Had a consult with an MD that I was happy to have conducting my care. Two weeks later his office calls to schedule procedure and tells me he is no longer with Scripps. Instructs me that I will have another MD do the minor procedure. I schedule and upon showing up today found out I was an hour late. I clearly remember the antiquated robot recording telling me 1230. Maybe after scheduling again.....I will actually get the services I am paying for. Very very disappointed with the quality of communication. I’ve been going to Scripps Integrative medicine since 2017. While I loved the care I received for many of those years, there is a lot of physician turnover. I am now with my third cardiologist and scheduling has become impossible. My doctor will ask me to schedule a follow up appointment in two months. I call immediately to get an appointment scheduled and told that the schedule isn’t available for another two weeks.
