Excellent cafe in the Torrey Pines Science Park. Food is cooked fresh to order, except for the daily Hot Entree Specials. f you're coming here during your lunch, don't forget to text your order ahead of time, as It can take a bit for the order to be made because it's fresh! The daily specials are ready by 11:00 am, and are always great! They aren't cooked to order, though. I'd recommend the breakfast croissant with tomato and mustard, an excellent combination that gets your day started right! The flatbread pizzas are great as well! The pizza dough is stretched and baked when you order it, so expect to wait 20 minutes for the pizza. Definitely worth it!

I really wanted to like this place, the staff was very nice, the place was very clean. The food was disgusting. We ordered some french toast and chilaquiles. The french toast looked good, but the entire center of it was soaked with the egg wash. Both orders of french toast just mush. The chilaquiles tasted good, especially with the added cilantro and crumbly Mexican cheese, but it was drowning in salsa verde. This made the tortillas super soft and mushy. The salsa was way too overpowering especially with how limey it was. Needless to say $40 worth of food straight to the trash. I do not recommend this place.

Located in a medical building. Not busy mid-morning. Friendly staff with made to order breakfast. The bacon breakfast burritos and salads are good with homemade chips on the side.

We were visiting Torrey Pines and looking for a place to eat lunch. Found Chef's Cafe online and it seemed to have good reviews. We decided to check it out. Had a hard time finding it since it is actually in some kind of medical facility. So that's a little weird but the food was fantastic and the service was second to none. Felix made us feel like we were guests in his home. And after you get used to being in a medical facility, you realize that it is actually very quiet with lots of...
