I loved this gym when I attended in summer 2019. The classes they offer are fun. The gym always looks clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. When I first came in, I inquired about a promotion for Kaiser patients and the manager at the time told me he’d give me a better deal and it would include no contract. So I never signed a contract, I just paid 2 months up front and then every month after, if I wanted to continue going, I’d pay for that month. Well I moved out of the area so two months was all I attended (in 2019). I notified them i was moving and was told I didn’t need to do anything on my end as I had no contract. Fast forward to last month, I learned that they have been taking monthly payments from my account since July 2020. I’d say the gym is “welcoming” if you’re white but I always got death glares from all the white men in the weight room and when I’d use the recovery room. The main reason I quit is because of how dirty the gym was. The dumbbells left black stains on my clothes. The machines were worn down, beat up, and there was dirt/ lint on them. There was an absurd amount of dust and lint in the sauna which I brought up to Christine yet nothing was ever done about it. The lint just stacked up. The boxing bags are also really gross and never cleaned. 2 are on the ground and beat up and covered in dust.

The sauna is also always booked up on the weekends. Only time you’ll be able to go is midday during the week and because it’s a small gym, they’re closed so often for holidays. For example, they were closed December 24-26.

Staff is sometimes friendly and sometimes they look like they can’t be bothered to be there which might be because they’re underpaid, I don’t know.

Just too inconsistent and uncomfortable of a place for me. & they didn’t give a damn when I said I was quitting. Customer service just...

I wish I would give negative to this gym. Don’t be fooled by the 5-star ratings as all these stars are clearly manipulated by the owner. Read the negative reviews first before wasting your money. I paid $75 for a membership and regret making that mistake.

This gym is stressful instead of being relaxed. I have had extremely negative experiences here and cannot recommend this place. The environment has been uncomfortable and unprofessional, and the staff interactions under Joshua Prezner, the owner and CEO of the gym, have created a hostile atmosphere rather than a welcoming one.
