Heavenly Donuts — Restaurant in San Diego

I come for Apple fritters a lot. Sometimes they’re out and that’s fine I don’t blame them, if you love Apple fritters then ya love em and you get it. I’m actually glad sometimes they don’t have apple fritters because I would have to buy two, which is one more than I’d plan out. They are friendly, they are welcoming, the other donuts are delicious of course it’s all just sugar don’t lie to yourself. But a combination of things make this a nice place. Near my work, at the corner of the building (makes coming and going easy), the place is clean and simple, doesn’t feel like I’m inside a schizophrenic person’s mind, it is almost minimal, they always come out and greet (never rang the bell). I love a good donut, and have tried a couple different places around San Diego, and there are some unreal spots. Decided to give this a try early Sunday morning around 6 am. The service was very friendly here but I can’t lie, the donuts did not taste fresh. I got an apple fritter and a cronut and they both tasted like they were a day or 2 old. I’ve had donuts from spots in the evening that were made same day and they tasted way fresher then these did early in the morning when, if they were made same day which a good donut shop should do, should’ve been fresh out the press hours before. Went in with my cousin and she wanted to order more than 1 dozen donuts for her daughters class and the lady behind the counter was extremely rude and did not want to sell her more than 1 dozen donuts and then she finally was agreeing to sell her more but she is only able to get the rest in the flavor the lady behind the counter chose because she said she didn't want to sell out by 7am. I'm sorry but are they premade? Why would you sell out by 7am by us bying 2 dozen donuts? On top of that she continued to talk in her language to the other employee while arguing with us.
