These units are not in a safe location. I have heard from other renters that their units have been broken in to and a lot of their property were stolen, and Fort Knox did nothing about it. There is no security keeping anyone from just walking in and taking to elevator to any of the floors.

The elevator has also broken down multiple times in the year that I rented here. Being on the 6th floor made access almost impossible because I stored large items in my unit, I had no choice but to carry it up their skinny stairwell and there were times when the elevator was broken and I could not even bring my things up to my unit because they were too large for me to carry and lift up 6 flights of stairs. They did not provide anyone a discount for all the times that the elevator was broken either. What they did do is keep increasing the rent. The price for the unit I paid for went up $40 in ONE YEAR. Greed runs this place.

FURTHERMORE, their website is NOT SECURE. When I set up online payment with them and paid the first month, I dedicated a card solely to pay for my unit through their portal. Within the next day I had four fraudulent charges on my card totaling over $2k. When I called Storage Pro about it, the only thing they recommended was that I use a new card. Why would I use another card only for my information to be stolen again? They did not offer any credit protection or even a reimbursement for their faulty portal. I had to switch to paying in cash to keep my information safe and secure.

I have been renting from the facility on Turk for about 2 years. The elevator constantly breaks down. And there are slippery stairs and dangerous doors you must climb to get to your unit. The sliding door can crush your fingers. I have fallen on these stairs and damaged my finger. The elevator is old fashion attached to ropes. Water leaks, dead rats and roaches, a very unprofessional staff. You are storing your things at your own risk at this facility. Once you move in they start raising rates by $20 it seems every few months. It's hard to pack things in storage just to have to move them because of being stuck in a facility. They will call and harass you about things like online reservations. They play games and will lock your storage when it shouldn't be to taunt the guest like me who speak up against facility that operate like this. I gave it two stars because they slowed down the amount of people who do drugs, who bring in dangerous dogs, and people who sleep in the facility. I have spoken many times with people who have rented units next to me and we all wanted to protest the broken elevators and things just don't have the time. Posting this review to alert people is all that I can do. Those 5star reviews come from people who have rented short time frames. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The lack of security here is appalling. They don't monitor the sign-in sheet and anyone off of the street can enter and take the elevator up to the floors. The staff does minimal security rounds daily and there are no cameras on the floors. My unit was recently broken into and nearly everything was stolen. If there had been cameras on the floor, which any reputable place has, it wouldn't have been that hard to discover who did it. Even though I was given a new unit to put what was left in, I don't feel that my possessions are safe there and am actively looking for a new facility to store my things. Safety of tenants and their belongings does not seem to be a priority at this location. However, they sure are quick to ask for the rent money. I start getting emails a week or two before the first of each month asking me to pay for the upcoming month and every few months my rent is increased due to "increasing upkeep costs".
