Came in here after finding out that BN has MUCH lower prices than regular brick and mortar stores to view settings and diamond types.
We got paired up with Emily and she spent over half an hour helping us learn about diamonds and showing us different settings we looked at online. At no point did she push us to buy something because she knew we werenāt quite ready yet, but she made a lot of recommendations based on our input which was very helpful.
In the end we left the showroom with a much better understanding of what we were looking for and her business card.
Over the next week, Emily was very patient while I asked a ton of questions over text and she looked at many different diamonds until I had two I really liked (at much lower prices than any of the competitors I should add).
Unfortunately, BN did not have the setting in the style my girlfriend would prefer, so I ended up buying the diamond from BN and will have the setting made somewhere else.
If youāre looking for help with an engagement ring I would recommend going into the showroom and speaking to Emily. Avoid the other overpriced stores in the mall. No I donāt work for them, but I did visit all of the jewelry stores and BN along with James A (website), had everyone else beat by a mile. I ended up choosing BN in part due to the great service...

I would say helping loosely due to his unwelcoming attitude that turned an exciting moment into a sour, frustrating experience. I was explaining to him my engagement ring shape preferences after visiting two other jewelers before Blue Nile, and he abruptly and rudely cut me off and said, āYou can only look at three rings at a timeā. I understand the storeās policy but the way he talked over me (only two rings were out at that moment) made me feel belittled but I stayed and continued to look at the options there. I asked a few simple questions and he would sometimes laugh then answer me like I was a child who didnāt understand engagement ring shopping. At another point, I picked out a ring and he immediately said, āyou already looked at that oneā and didnāt pull the ring out. Maybe due to my young age or that I wasnāt a man talking to him, I felt like he talked down to me and I did not enjoy my shopping experience. We walked in with no appointment the first time, knowing very little about diamonds. She patiently helped us and educated us about how to select the diamond. After the visit, she sent a few follow-up emails to follow up on our visit and answered some of my questions. Through out the entire process, from the initial visit to the final purchase, she was very nice and patient, and made our entire experience very pleasant.
Pros: Good service with follow-up emails. The entire experience was smooth and efficient. We placed the order on our second visit to the showroom They pick up phone calls. I called the showroom once and they picked up and helped me. Lianna responded to text message promptly.
Cons: Sometimes they reply to email, but other times they don't reply to email promptly. As email did not work well, I had to call them and schedule a showroom visit - this did not bother me because it was a better experience getting my questions answered in person.
