Management is a joke. They are heavily disorganized and treat their employees like expendable garbage. I've worked for three different Targets and have about a year and a half experience with the company and have never had any problems until being employed at this one. The reason for this is because the managers at this particular store have unrealistic expectations as they expect new hires to be as efficient as seasoned employees on day one. Unlike the last two stores I worked for, they don't take the time to train their employees at all and set them up for failure. I may have collective experience that's over a year, but the last Target I worked for was years ago, and their systems have changed since then, and they didn't take the time to teach me these new ones at all. They also aren't nearly as flexible regarding scheduling around school either. I've never had a problem getting days off for classes with the company until coming to this store. They completely disregard your availability that you hand in on day one and then give you attitude every time you need to have them mend it. After this, they also completely violate the "team" attitude that is common among most other Targets. They would leave me by myself, during my first week no less, to do the entire truckload for electronics and would give me attitude if I did not finish it within my four hours of being there, something that is unreasonable from the get-go because I'm brand new and don't know the store yet and I haven't learned the systems completely either. It is due to these reasons that this store has lost me as a customer, it is the nearest one to my home; they have lost me as an employee, they fired me for not being "fast enough" after less than a month (I have never been fired from a retail position; it's ridiculous); and they (this store) is just as bad as a Walmart in my book, another company that I have worked at for over a year as well. At least Walmart, however, takes the time to properly train their employees rather than...
Read moreI went to the target on silver creek rd in san jose just to buy a tv. So i buy it take it home set it all up pluged it in only to find out the screen has a huge crack thru it. So i take it back for an even exchange, turns out there all out. Okay not so bad it happens. So they call a different store to see if they have any in stock and they did. Okay cool so they tell me to just take the broken tv over to there store for the even exchange. I drive over there just for them to tell me i cant exchange it there because i dident buy it from that location better yet the one they said was the same tv as i had just bought wasent even the right one. So i just carried this big ass tv thru two parking lots 4 times.. I go back to the silver creek store to see if they could just maybe give me a diffrent tv they had in stock that happened to be worth more then the one i had just bought by like 200 bucks and just knock off like 100 and i would gladly pay the diffrence. After all its the same people who just made me drive across town for no reason at all who would it hurt. They tell me they would need to talk to the store manager so i say okay sounds good lets talk to him, "oh but hes not here right now you need to come back tomorrow"... Are you kidding me? I just spent 4 hours just trying to exchange this stupid tv that you broke, carrying it across two parking lots 5 times, and driving across town for no damn reason because you said it was okay.. A complete waste of time with absoulty nothing to show for it except less gas in my car. Long story short target on silver creek rd in san jose is a complete f ing joke with little to none customer service and shitty broken products. If i could give zero...
Read moreSucked worst service ever. Stephanie GM how she got to that position. I do not know worst customer service skills. Very improfessional did not like how I was getting upset about a $300 purchase because the products that they have were electronic and they didn't know that the cereal on the earbuds to the device don't match. When the employee first see me they were already giving me kind of like the impression I was stealing or just trying to trade in a product that I already used. I understand that their procedure is to make sure that the products match, but the supervisor there was very unprofessional as well. She didn't want to do a return. Obviously the product was purchased only 3 days ago the device only had one working earbud. Please Target management look into this. They even had the audacity to say I'm on a no trespassing because I was speaking out of emotion that they always make a big deal when I understand they do it with job. But if the return specialist aren't familiar with all the products inside the store, then maybe you should have someone that's more efficient in front and that has better understanding of products Target carries. Thank you very much for reading. Have a wonderful day and for everybody else that does returns. Just be aware if you spend over $300 or more that they might guess. Your purchase I would rather go to another Target than to come back to this one for improfessional service and lack of customer service and lack...
