Just visited this store for the second time. The first time I visited, I purchased a bunch of items this time around, I came with my two girls and a large lady with purple hair decided to put her hand on my child to have her not touch something. There was no sign that said not to touch items, let alone a cheap Amazon looking belt. I will continue to post my reviews on every outlet because they need to learn manners and have better customer service. This is San Juan Capistrano and they are going to get a lot of children coming into their stores. My girls are very polite and Iâve never had an issue, with this purple haired, large woman thought it was OK to put her hand on my child. I will not support a store that employs rude employees.
EDIT TO ADD AFTER âOWNERâ RESPONSE-
I was going to spare more details of the incident, but since you would like make up a narrative based on yourâfootageâ Here we go-
AFTER the lady was rude to my child, I did not go up to her because of that I went to go look at a small purse, and she rudely told me not to touch it. I looked over at her and realized this mustâve been the woman that my child ran over to tell me was very mean to her. I responded to her and said there is not a sign that says not to touch the items, not to mention the little purse was something you can get from Amazon or better yet go to Los Rios street and purchase for a quarter of the price.
Since the employee is in fact YOUR daughter-in-law since SHE replied very rudely to me, I will tell my mother-in-law whoâs the owner to do that. Hence, why you are backing up your âemployeeâ In the real world, we have good customer service and people skills. This isnât the western world THIS is real life and doesnât make you exempt from lacking courtesy and kindness.
I also wanted to state that when I was in Friday evening, you guys had Whiskey/alcohol tasting And serving it to everyone without checking their ID. And not sure if you need to have a liquor license for that, but there are rules you follow and the Western world doesnât make their own rules this isnât the wild wild West , itâs river street. Believe me, I will not spend a penny at your store, I can get the things online without attitude from an unhappy angry employee. Good luck with your daughter in law (employee of the month). She...
Read moreIf you want to shop in a store that employs judgmental and rude employees this is the store for you. We recently took a day trip to SJC and due to the warmer weather my sweet guy suggested we go shopping for a cooler shirt for me to wear. We stumbled upon Wildfire Mercantile. I was excited at first...until we encountered the Karen employee who decided to judge my sweet guy. Apparently she thought he was going to steal something and stayed close to him. My sweet guy who was ignoring her rude behavior had offered to buy me not only a shirt but anything and everything I wanted. However after hearing a snarky comment towards him there was no way this store would get one cent of our money. Maybe if we had rolled up in our BMW, which we do own and head to toe top of the line western wear- she would have faked being nice at least. But we were dressed accordingly for an out of town day trip. She also didn't recognize his military patches to see he served our country for over a decade and is an honored combat veteran. Yes he fought for everyone's freedom, including hers. He would have bought me everything in the store because he is that generous. All the layers of her cowgirl clothing and makeup couldn't hide the ugliness of her heart or attitude. I've shopped at many country, western mercantile stores that employs genuinely sweet, down to earth people and owners, but this store is a joke and not the real thing. And reading other reviews of the same unpleasant behavior we experienced, those reviews made sense. We are excited for our next trip to SJC as we go often but definitely won't be going...
Read moreSuper Bummed! The store has super cute products and was planning on buying multiple items for my daughter and myself. An employee got upset with my daughter 1 year old daughter for playing with the stick horses. She stated, "She is using it like a mop," and was clearly upset with her. She was just trying to understand how to use it. Again, she is only 1 and seriously was not up to mischief or cause any harm to the product whatsoever. Then the lady said "let me take these" and took the items that i was holding from me. It wasn't a "let me put these up front, so you don't have to hold them" kind of ask. Did you think I was going to steal them? I WAS going to buy the horse for my daughter along with a dress, book and a dress for myself, but felt that I didn't want to spend my money where I was going to be judged so harshly. I was REALLY bummed because everything was so cute, and I was going to buy multiple items. Please work on how your employees respond to customers. Otherwise, don't sell products that target families if you don't want them...
