Tecovas — Local services in San Juan Capistrano

Im not sure how to explain the surprisingly horrible treatment I received in this store. I went in there with full intention of purchasing multiple things and walked away wishing we hadn’t spent a penny.

We entered the store half an hour before they closed and immediately said we wanted to purchase boots, we then were basically ignored (despite helping 4 other customers who walked in after us) until their closing time. The girl employee then started performing closing procedures while still ignoring us and then told us that they were closed and needed to “rush us” so they could leave when we asked her for help. We then explained how we had been there for a while and received little help and when she finally went to help us, the other male employee continued to verbally attack us and try to make excuses for why we were ignored. In the end, it only took 7 minutes for us to pick what we wanted and check out (I was watching the exact times), which could have easily been done before closing.

I have worked in the service industry for years (including retail) and have NEVER spoken to a customer the way we were spoken to tonight. Yet we ended up still purchasing close to $700 worth of product because we wanted it, despite how we were treated. For how expensive each product is in this store, we had much higher expectations for the staff and was shocked at the disrespect we received from the two employees...

The Tecova store in San Juan is an absolute gem! I purchase my first pair of Tecovas - the Annie in Marigold from Nicole the store manager. These are the nicest most comfortable boots I have every owned. I was in and out in 20 minutes, such a great experience especially since they were very busy for Stagecoach.

I was so impressed with this store I brought son down with me so he could look at the boots. Last year he bought a pair at boot barn and got terrible blisters when he wore them. The gal that helped us brought out no less than six pairs of boots and was so incredible patient with us. He tried them all on and after a good thirty minutes finally settled on a pair of Docs in the goat cafe color.

We both love our boots! They were incredibly comfortable right out of the box. We went back to the store today to get them polished up and the team was super welcoming. They cleaned and conditioned our boots in no time. Absolutely stellar service!!
