As a "SELLER" using Estate 360, I must say that the experience was a challenge, and quite frustrating. We were moving out of the house after more than 30 years of accumulated 'stuff'. What we did wrong is wait until the last month to get rid of the unwanted items. So called Estate 360. It took over 2 weeks to get the auction online. We were told that we would receive a link before the auction went live to ensure that all the item were to be sold. We did not get that link. The auction finally went up and the way we found out was to continue to check their website as we were not able to get anyone to confirm one way or another. So the auction went on. It was about a week long. Impressive the way the auction was administered. The day came when things were to be picked up. Most of the items were picked up. Some folks showed up and tried to steal items from the property, Estate 360 people said they had seen these ladies before? Many folks who won a bid never showed up to pick up the item. We have tried to find out whether or not those folks would like to come and take these items they paid for, but Estate 360 shrugs their shoulders and says "they paid for it, you can do what you want with those items". So there you go. Would I use them again? Maybe, but considering the frustration we went experienced, maybe not.
AUGUST 23. So time to make an update. Here we go yet again. Estate 360, I have to confirm, is amazing for buying. Totally. I would highly recommend it as one can get great deals. HOWEVER, as a seller, we have had nothing but irrigation. The contract states that within 30 days after the sale (and reading above you can read our experience before the sale) we are still waiting for our portion of the sale. We call, leave messages, are told they will get back, but here we are well over 30 days after the sale, and still have NO IDEA WHAT WHEN of our take. but you can bet they have THEIR TAKE. Another thing as a seller you should consider, folks will bid on stuff, and they won't show up. That's fine in some situations, I guess, but Estate 360 is done. Totally when your sale is over. As buyers, you can bet that if you are not able to met at the given time, and try to obtain an item you paid for, you will get the response. (sorry you missed the deadline). Now considering that this is understandable but when the seller reaches out, wouldn't it be better customer service for those who purchased items? I would hope so as a buyer, wouldn't you. AND as a seller, wouldn't you want to know what your take was? I made a spreadsheet of the sale prices so hopefully Estate 360 has their act together enough to honor the 50% take and send me a check for that same amount, and Hopefully it will be before the end of this year!!! Beware....
Read moreDylan made promises that weren't kept.
Said they could do the house in 3 days, two months later still was being processed.
While its quite simple, he left it all to one man whom I heard him asking for help many times, and only times he showed up he did some work but was mostly useless. The appraisal, he was there for maybe an hour or two. Overall maybe 6hr total not including sale day.
His co worker moved to a new state so it was up to Dylan to finish. I called and left a message asking when he would be back to complete, kept waiting for him to arrive and when I called him he forgot about it. Was told there was a lot left. So he made it simple and lumped huge amounts of things together. Full walls of shelves, nothing appraised or sorted, he was very disorganized and unprofessional in his work. His coworker who moved was very organized and professional.
There's more but it keeps repeating.
He failed in communication multiple times and felt that I was more of a inconvenience than a customer. Stated they have a 80% sale rate.
Come sale day and I think it started off ok but because I think things were moving slowly they just let people come in and not watch them. I had to stop people taking things that wasn't part of their sale. He was chatting it up not doing his job. This was fairly consistent. When customers who were of color asked for help, he would rudely blow them off. Many complained to me asking for help.
The worst part was at end of the day he left with people still taking things and I had to guide people to find their things. Where was he. Driving away. I had communicated with him in regards to a customer who purchased things and never showed. Then I was asked if I could be there following day. I said yes and the contact was Dylan again. No one came and I reached out to Dylan who didn't respond until days later.
Part of the agreement when he said they were going to take things to thrift store (THRIFT STORES OR DONATIONS) INSTEAD I HAD TO WATCH EVERYTHING GO TO THE DUMP. Had I known that I would of done things differently I was then on a serious time crunch and had no other choice but having to watch things get thrashed.
Half the money made went to paying for this.
Dylan is dishonest and untrustworthy. Horrible communication...
Read moreWARNING! Bidders beware of missing or swapped items. I have only started bidding on items in online auctions 3 months now and have only run into issues with one auction company, Estate 360. On 3 different auctions I was ripped off. It seems that when you win a great deal in an auction that you most likely will not get your item when you go to pick it up. On my first time being ripped off, the most valueable items in a tool lot were missing (auctioneer blamed it on a neighbor). On my second rip off, the auctioneer tried to swap the item I bought for a different item; which was of much lower quality, a different color, and broken beyond repair. And now today I show up to pick up my items and my best purchase deal was missing and auctioneer blamed it on the persons who were the sellers). All 3 of these purchases were great deals I had won, but not delivered to me. Seems to be a pattern of when you think you have won a great auction lot, that the folks at Estate 360 don't think you should get it. Very, very poor business. Now, I have to say they did refund the money I spent on the items, except on the 2nd one they still charged me for shipping on the item I didn't want and didn't buy. So, all I can say is bidder/buyer......BEWARE! And note, this is the only auction company I have had issues with and plan to keep bidding on other...
