JJ Nails — Local services in San Mateo

I went in about a week ago to have gel (from a different nail salon) removed and was happy they were available for a walk-in gel removal. The staff were also very friendly and kind and the place was super clean! However, my nails got so damaged from the e-file the technician used (no acetone was used to soften the gel) that they felt like they were on fire from being so thin. I was hesitant to post a “negative” review last week because I thought the sensitivity could have been from the separate place I got my nails done, but now it is clear the damage is from the e-file and I figured it would be best to let the staff know. I’d 100% return because of the clean atmosphere and kind workers, but I would suggest the staff perhaps re-evaluates their current gel-removal process to be a bit...

The gel polish didn’t even last 1 week and I think the reason is probably too little polish applied when coatings were put on back to back. Attached are the pics of chipped nails on day 4. I saw all the good reviews, not sure what happened in my case! Also for the pedicure, the surface of the nails weren’t filed properly and you could see my uneven nails...
