Wowowow. This is definitely a treat yoself place. Once you walk in, there’s a beautiful hanging light fixture that you can’t help yourself but just take in all the high end decor. I was greeted upon walking in by the sweetest receptionist. I was guided to fill out standard consent forms, pressure preference, any focus areas and safety precautions. I was asked if I wanted any water or tea before starting my session as there was a few minutes till my appointment time. I opted for the 90 minute Swedish relaxation as I don’t find myself liking being stepped on for traditional Thai massage.

The massage therapist, Lala, came out and greeted me and led me to the massage room. You get your own room here, which isn’t always the case for massages. Sometimes you’re in this large communal room separated by curtains and you usually can hear everything around you, ie people snoring. I was instructed to undress and put on a robe, then to soak my feet in a basin with rose petals. Shortly after, Lala came in and washed my feet and used a scrub to cleanse. I don’t know why, but this small detail in a massage made it feel ultra luxurious. I’m usually accustomed to therapists wiping them down or just going straight into the massage.

Okay, the real deal now. I asked her to focus on my shoulders, cause working a desk job is taxing on the upper body. I straight away melted into the bed cause she knew exactly where I needed it, I asked for medium strong pressure and boy, don’t let the small lady fool you, she’s a beast. She told me my back was tight. The pressure was borderline just what my back needed and still being able to enjoy every minute of it. She checked in a few times making sure the pressure was where I wanted. The motions of her hands were so seamless and relaxing but still taking care of my problem areas in the right places. She made sure to reach every limb and did some light stretching towards the end. I truly felt like I drifted away and woke up so satisfied and rejuvenated.

After the massage, I headed back towards the front to check out, passing every beautiful artwork in the hallways. Again, I was asked if I wanted tea or water. I was informed that they’re actually doing a 20% off for the month of March, sweeeeet! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family. By the end of the session, not only was of my pain significantly alleviated, but I felt like I had a brand new, youthful back.

Services at Orchard Thai might be pricier than some other options out there. In my opinion it is worth every single penny and more.
