Well it was a sweltering hot day my kids couldn't take it there very long no shade expect for a table and chairs they kindly put out in the back we brought our lunch and enjoyed that. I'd give more stars if they were open in the morning. I think the only time I'd come back is to do a private morning tour on Friday or the weekday before things are picked over perhaps in spring or early summer. The owner and others were out there greeting guiding and helping they deserve all the stars. It's not very big think they said 4 acres the garden area is smaller than I was thinking and again just about everything was picked over. We left with a small bunch Lettuce, some Dill, and found a few cherry tomatoes like 3 lol. Most things were dried out as well blackberry bushes, squash plants etc. That time of the year I guess most gardens are doing that esp in the hot sun and drought weather. This place has more potential tho some raised beds and more flowers would add more beauty. I think they have the potential to grow more for example there were a few Strawberry plants but so much room for more. I think they could prune their tomato plants better so it's not a dense mess and easier to pick through. I think they could maximize yields by growing more vertically as well. Would I recommend 🤔 perhaps if your not too far in the neighborhood i wouldn't drive more than 15 min to come here. You can pick up some honey $14 for 8oz, a few dried herbs, and they did have a few orchid tress nothing in season or not picked over however. Forgive all the honesty I am happy the owner is gracious enough to open his space to the public. Definitely come with your gardening questions they are there to chat and are super nice. They have baskets and sheers...
Read moreI think our expectations were perhaps a bit high for this place after reading such glowing reviews on Google. There is a really huge range of different trees, plants and herbs, but because of that there is not that much of each - it's a fairly small farm. On the day we went there was virtually no fruit that was ripe and limited veg options (plenty of herbs though). Going in early September we were sure there would at least be some berries but the handful of strawberry plants were bare and the blackberries were mostly small or dried out. For some reason the guy showing us around didn't seem to want to just tell us what was available and seemed annoyed that we would ask. If you live nearby it's a nice place to wander around and with the right timing I'm sure there is some good stuff to pick at a decent price, but just manage your...
Read moreI made an appointment to pick apples on September 27. They sent reminders a couple of times including the day before. I got there and there was nobody but the farmer there.......so why the appointment unless it was to trick people into thinking it was a popular place to go? He could have let me know that before I drove 35 minutes. Then he wasted 20 minutes of my time showing me some herbs he was growing. I had never heard of most of them and wasn't interested. Then he let me go pick.......but THERE WERE NO APPLES ON ANY OF THE TREES. When I told him there weren't any apples. He helpfully showed me a quince tree with one quince on it. He also said I could pick some of the strawberries in a very small patch in which I saw 3 unripe strawberries. I...
