This is my first experience at this place my husband wanted to stop here cause we were heading to a party. There was a short girl at the counter who didn’t even greet us when we came in, me and my husband started browsing the women’s section. About 15-20min after browsing this other lady came over and told us if we needed anything to let her know, my husband replied and said “okay thank you” I kept browsing found the clearance section found 2 dresses wanted to try them on. I found their dressing rooms which kind of made me feel uncomfortable cause it’s just curtains that anyone can just go and open there is nothing to secure them with after you remove them from the curtain hook. Anyways I decided on the dress I wanted got a belt and my husband found a button up shirt which he should have tried on cause he thinks it’s too big on him. The lady that asked us when we first got there if we wanted anything check us out she was nice enough to wrap my belt into my dress which I thought was thoughtful. I’m only giving 3 stars because of parking, if there is no parking on the street in front of the store then you have to park somewhere else. It was a bit of a walk for us from where we parked. Would like to mention that I didn’t really feel welcomed, the lady that interacted with us was nice but I didn’t feel welcoming from the rest of the staff. Also the dressing rooms made me really uncomfortable I should have had my husband wait outside for me but I didn’t take long. But those are my main reasons for giving 3 stars Would I be back? Probably not even though we live about 30min away. Would I recommend it? I would if you are not a POC. My advice to staff and owners is to learn a bit of history and where the western...
Read moreHarry's has been in downtown San Saba, TX since 1939. They have all you'll need for your western wear needs. I love going to Harry's Boots. First of all, I love the way it smells when you walk in the door. The strong smell of leather cascades over you. I never grow tired of that smell.
Harry's has a wide range of brands and styles for both women and men. The store is divided into individual rooms. One room on the far end is filled with women's boots. A room on the opposite end is dedicated to men's boots. The rooms in between are filled with jeans, shirts, blouses, belts, buckles, leather goods, and a wide range of other things. They have all of the typical brands of western wear that you would expect in a store.
One of my favorite areas is the hat room. Located upstairs, Harry's has a huge selection on hats. Traditional brands line Stetson and Resistol are heavily represented. They also have other brands of hats. They have a huge selection of styles and colors to choose from. They also have a wide range of price and quality. They have some wool hats (less expensive; lower quality) to higher end beaver fur hats ranging from 5x to 20x (the more x's, the higher quality).
Bottom line - You owe it to yourself to stop in at Harry's. A great western wear store with small town roots. They literally have have you covered from...
Read moreThis a beautiful store with excellent products, but make sure you completely understand how boots fit before you buy from them. I did not understand the finer points and the person working in the boot room on the Saturday afternoon when I shopped offered me no fitting help. In addition she was not knowledgeable about the boot materials, etc and could not answer many questions. It turned out to be a $500 purchasing mistake for me because although the boots seemed fine in the store, they did not have enough toe room and they’re excruciatingly painful to wear for more than 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I had already worn them on the sidewalk before I realized they were a poor fit, and now they’re unsuitable for return. Sadly, I have a nice pair of Lucchese boots that I will never be able to wear. This could have been avoided had there been a helpful...
