Jerry’s Market Review
Jerry’s Market just redefined what chicken noodle soup is supposed to be. Forget the canned stuff—this is the kind of soup that makes you want to call your grandma and tell her she’s been out-souped. The broth is bold but balanced, the chicken is tender enough to make you question every diet you’ve ever tried, and the noodles? Absolute ribbon-like perfection—firm enough to hold their ground, but soft enough to melt into the broth like they were born for this. Every spoonful is proof that Jerry’s has cracked the “comfort food algorithm.”
And let’s talk about the sidekick: the Alive Root Beer “Ancient Mushroom Elixir.” Sounds like something out of a medieval quest, right? Well, it drinks like it too—earthy, fizzy, and strangely refreshing. One sip and you half-expect Merlin to walk in and ask for a pint. It’s not just a beverage; it’s a potion with personality.
Now, full disclosure: the customer service was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing that made me want to write poetry either. That said, when the food slaps this hard, you don’t even need a five-star handshake—you just need a spoon.
Final verdict? Jerry’s chicken noodle soup isn’t just delicious, it’s spiritual sustenance. Pair it with that mystical mushroom root beer, and you’re not eating lunch—you’re...
Read moreI'm disappointed. I frequent Jerry's Market as I try to support small businesses as they strive to compete with the big chains. Went to Jerry's yesterday for lobster meat. The prepackaged lobster was all claws and knuckles, so I asked if I could have some with tail meat. In the deli case were these plastic bags of lobster meat that looked uninviting, soggy, pale. The man behind the counter took one of these to prepare my $40.00 worth of lobster meat. I asked if it was Maine lobster; I got two answers, first he read the label and wasn't sure but figured it was, and second time he said "yes". I was hesitant but bought it. It was gross. I called the store the next day, asked for the manager who ended up to be the guy who waited on me named Peter. I believe he is the owner. I told him about my experience. He seemed uninterested. I didn't want a refund, just wanted to relay my experience. Sorry Jerry's, I'll go to Hannaford's next time for lobster. What poor reception from a manager who I believe was...
Read moreI met the owner, Steve, working behind the butcher counter, and you can instantly tell how passionate he is about food and being part of the community. With over 20 years of experience smoking meats, he prepares, smokes, packages, and handcrafts all the ready-to-go meals right there at the market. In addition to picking up some chicken wings (thanks, Steve!), we grabbed a few other groceries and were pleasantly surprised that the prices were on par with what you’d find at a larger grocery store. They also just got approved for their liquor license and now sell beer, wine, and hard liquor, which makes it a great one-stop shop. Awesome meats, fair prices, and genuinely friendly staff. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re...
