I got takeout breakfast I got an order of biscuits and gravy, and eggs benedict with ham and a side order of corned beef hash and it smells so delicious I just had to have a couple bites before I left the parking lot I wish I had truly noticed what containers they were in because by the time I got to my destination and could really sit down to eat, the Hollandaise sauce and the gravy from the biscuits and gravy had been absorbed into the cardboard containers for takeout. I was so disappointed I often order takeout breakfast at places and then I can come home and reheat it. But that's the first time I ever received that kind of food in a cardboard container. It wasn't even lined with parchment paper or foil for preventing sauces and gravy to turn the cardboard containers flimsy and mushy . I politely said no and was prepared to explain we'd come back another time but as I said the hostess sneered and me and said "whatever" nastier than my pre teen daughter has ever hit me with. So now I won't try again. Another local explained I'm not missing anything as their food isn't good and they...
Read moreMoving around Sanford this morning this was a great breakfast spot to hit. All the charm and warmth you'd want in a local maine diner...from smiling faces and ambiance..to the warm and cozy atmosphere provided by a small led fireplace. Great food....the chefs omelet was a hit.... and the ever treacherous culinary tightrope of eggs Benedict was without flaw. Hashbrowns perfect.... coffee flowed freely and the l9cals seemed comfortable and showing in force. A great place for breakfast or lunch with a broad but not crazy menu and awesome flavors. Definitely a community treasure. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just make great comfort food.....and that's exactly what you'll find here. All 5 stars isn't common for me....but I couldn't find anything amiss today. Great...
