Smart & Final Extra! — Local services in Santa Barbara

I have been a shopper at the downtown Smart & Final since it was located on Chapala back in the 1970's, I am really glad they put a store at 5 Points shopping center and across from COSTCO because I live near Turnpike so I shop at the 5 Points location. The store is very clean and well organized with a great selection at the lowest prices, The store employees always have a great attitude and really keep the store clean and well stocked along with making the check out process very quick and efficient so there is seldom a wait in the check out line. I just have one small complaint, they need to restock the 5 pound bags of Hoody's ...

I know that they are made to sell in mass quantities buy there are some things I wish would be less like condiments. I tried to buy loose packets because a patron in the store had opened it. When I went to pay that's the moment I had to tell them that there were other open boxes. This alarmed them and they wanted to check their camera feed. That might be pointless. It is unknown when the patron would have done such a thing. So be careful of certain items you want to buy in smaller quantities. The customer service here is beyond amazing! They remember the people that come in day to day. They staff works as a team and it is very apparent that they do. Its great! I love it when checking out the cashier this morning asked me, "hey, how are you feeling? Better i hope because you look a lot better now.
