So im gonna make this as brief as I can, I go onto megastores website to order a gun, expensive gun mind you. The whole transaction goes through okay on the website, takes my money out of my account, it gives me a order number, I keep it with me. Normal. 3 business days go by, no notification, no email or message saying my order has been shipped, no tracking number, I try to call the number provided by megastore on google. No answer after multiple calls through the 3rd and 4th business day after ordering. I find out through my own research someone on these reviews said airsoftGI which I favor and have no issues with (great company by the way). Is Neighbors and in the exact same location as airsoftmegastore. So I call AirsoftGI's customer service, they were able to pick my call up almost instantly, they returned my call after a couple minutes, THAT is the definition of customer service. I dont know who be running airsoftmegastore now, but in the past years ago I was able to order from them no problem and remember they're customer service being acceptional at the very least. Anyway just a side note, but the airsoftGI customer service guy has to go next door to tell airsoftmegastore customer service, a dude named Romel, that theres been a customer trying to get ahold of him over the past couple days that he needs an update on his order, mind you its almost been a week with no word from anything having to do with airsoftmegastore services. He then tells the airsoftGI customer sevice guy to tell me that hes sending me an email about my order not going through, but even so at the beginning of all this he should be informing me directly day 1 that my order wasnt processed, and not having a valuable customer jump through hoops to find out if his order is even in process or not. This is why they call it "customer service" youre supposed to serve the customer, not have the customer go on a whole long yellow brick road to find out himself whats going on or to get an update. The customer should be informed asap no question, ifs, ands, or buts. And the fact I have to call another completely different company to do your job for you "Romel" thats just sad. People spending this kind of hard earned money should be treated as so, im surprised you were even able to give me my refund. Theres no excuses for these type of shenanigans. In my opinion Mr. John Hunter must have a bad taste in his mouth because no one gave him "free stuff" and decided to leave an emotionally charged negative review.
I myself did not receive any "free stuff" either, nor am I writing this to put anyone down. Not that I dont want "free stuff", who dosent want "free stuff" but I understand that the main purpose of a "business", any business, is to generate income, not cater to unreasonable individuals, or competitors, which ever mr. Hunter may be. I will do my best to keep my emotions out of this review but please try to understand I am human.
All I know is that Romel knocked it out of the park, as far has: -being knowledgeable with out being condescending, -putting in the extra work to find an effective solution for my problems -answering the phone all 20 or so times I called Romel went out of his way to triple check my sons rifle model to ensure he was sending the correct length outter barrel, when it arrived not only was it the right length(allowed use of tracer unit) but it also slid perfectly over the inner barrel ( minimized vibration/improved accuracy) as we'll as snugged up the hop up unit. This fixed the consistency in fps between shots to the point where, on full auto the bbs made a straight solid stream with out colliding with each other and it no longer skipped shots!!!!( easy to see imperfections in BB flight at night time with glowing ammo). Game changer!!!!
The rifle has been under heavy use by a 12 y/old for about 4 months ( shot about 4000 rounds a weekend, usually on full auto, lol). I thought I was going to have to buy my son a new rifle because the internals were crapping out on him.
Turns out the factory outter barrel that came on rifle was the culprit and I was able to fix all these annoying issues for under $60. Because of this I will infact buy my boy a new rifle and I will look no were else but airsoft mega store for everything airsoft related from now on. Top notch seller. Thanks...
Read moreI would love to give a better review, but it has been one problem after another. First one is that they printed a shipping label and told me the package was shipped. The problem was that after the printed the label, my order sat in their warehouse for over a week and the tracking information said it was going to be delayed since it was never sent out form the place of business. Then after receiving the sniper rifle, I purchased, it was missing some screws that I needed to put the rifle together. Since the box was sealed, I first contacted the manufacturer of the rifle. I had talked to them three different times before they said they would do something about it. The next day, I received a phone call from Airsoft Megastore in regards to my missing screws. They informed me that they will send out the screws I was missing. Two weeks went by, and I never received any shipping information or my screws. So, I called Airsoft Megastore back and informed them of this. They told me they sent it out through first class mail and that they didn’t get any shipping information. They told me that they will send me out more screws and that this time I will receive the shipping information sent to my email. It’s now been a week since I had talked to them, and I still haven’t received any shipping information or my screws. The other thing that's very aggravating is that they close at 5pm and I called them at 4:15pm and them made me sit on hold for 45 minutes. I then heard through the automated system that their business hours are over and that I need to call back during regular business hours. It seems like there is one problem after another. It’s like trying to get ahold of someone who owes you money and does everything they can not to talk to you and keeps telling you they will take care of it and then tries to run away and do the opposite of what they said they were going to do.
