I’m so glad I found out about this wonderful place. I’ve been twice and my breathing has improved noticeably already. I feel like this is a good thing to do for yourself regularly whether you have trouble breathing, suffer from depression or simply need stress relief. Kim, the owner is a bright light and beautiful person inside and out. New Mexico is lucky to have her and her beautiful business.

Went with my wife on October 28. We had both a 40 minute long session inside the "cave". We both agreed that the experience was relaxing and pleasurable. It was like you were on a mental trip for that period of time. Kim was very courteous and helpful; so definitely worth the time and money.

I've been going to the Salt Cave since it opened. I must say that new ownership/management is doing a great job. It is an otherworldly healing experience and is by far one of my favorite locations to perform sound baths.

I am giving a two star experience because I thought the facility was amazing and created with such a strong concept to help heal people and take care of your health. The infrared sauna was very high quality and clean.

The reason I felt I had a negative experience was primarily because of the customer service and phone calls. My girlfriend and I were passing through town on a road trip and wanted to stop somewhere for a nice 30 minute sauna break while we passed through so we called into a few health facilities, then Salt Cave.

Right off the bat the lady who answered the phone seems pretty negative, unhappy, non-coherent, and non-responsive to what my basic questions about their services were.

We had specific questioning like what type of rooms they have, the differences in the saunas, how much they cost, etc.. after asking 4 times I still had no real clear answer about what the difference is, what the benefits of salt were... I had asked her specific questions like if they had a shower. She told me in a very negative tone, "you basically can, but no one uses it and I wouldn't do it if I were you". My response was that I was going to drive another 5 hours after this and want to shower after an infrared sauna. She responded to me 3 times leading me away from using the shower, which was confusing to me.

So I decided to just book it and see, since there was no deposit and I was heading this way anyways. When we got there, there were two ladys. One young blonde with glasses, another older lady. Both of them made us feel uncomfortable, like they didn't want us there. The older lady gave us a tour and we sat in the sauna, which was amazing and then showered off.

After finishing and showering I realized they just didn't want us to use the shower because they most likely didn't want to clean. And once again when we left passing by the front desk was extremely uncomfortable and received rude stares for 5 minutes until we left the parking lot....

My experience as far as customer services was pretty much as...

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! Every time I go to Santa Fe for the day I make it a point to get a salt cave session in. I'm from Albuquerque and I do love Salt Cave in Albuquerque also...staff is great there, Sauna and foot baths are great there also...hell, THEIR salt cave is also awesome but there is just something I like a little better about this cave in Santa Fe, it's a little cozier, a little darker, the stars on the ceiling are a little starier. Maybe it's the adorable lobby doggy that greets you and hangs out with you, maybe it's the bowls they chime ever so gently when your session is over to wake you from your salty slumber. Not sure what it is exactly but you certainly feel recharged and relaxed by the time you leave!!! Bring your own socks as you must wear socks in the cave otherwise you can buy a pair for $1 or they provide footies for free. A blanket makes your visit extra...

If I could put zero stars I would, didn't even go to this place, and I won't recommend it to anyone. I called to just make sure my SERVICE DOG accompanying me wouldn't be an issue, after confirming twice that my dog is indeed a TASK TRAINED SERVICE DOG not an emotional support animal. I was talked to in a disrespectful tone, asked if my service dog would be quiet in the environment as to not bother other guest. Again my dog is a TASK TRAINED SERVICE DOG, not a pet. My dog has been to movies, Disney world, concerts, places that most people would struggle to take a child let alone a dog. I train service animals for a living I know the laws and what my dog should or shouldn't be doing. Then to be told by Kim that she was worried about other people being allergic to my dog, while according to several other reviews and their website there is a dog (possibly 2) in the...
