you know normally I don't mind Michael's I think sometimes it's a little high pricef but the good thing is is that you can find what you're looking for and not take a chance at like a Walmart or Target or Kmart or wherever.
you know this place is probably going to have it because that's what their stock-in-trade is crafts and other DIY projects.
the reason this place got a low rating is because I had a question about some foamcore I was buying and I couldn't find anybody on the floor.
and the front counter where all the registers are had a huge line with 3 people trying to run people through and so I patiently just stood in line cuz I didn't want to inconvenience someone else who's waiting in line and I finally got up to the register.
you see the three pack of foam core that I had found which was the only one actually that I could find was damaged at the corner and the whole point of the foam core for presentation so I was hoping that they would take some money off the top of the cost.
but they wouldn't because I also had coupons so I just decided not to buy from Michaels and I headed over to Joanns.
maybe I was a little miffed that they weren't going to take the price down on damaged goods but at the same time not having anybody on the floor and having a hard time and making it seem intimidating to kind of cut the line just to ask a question just shows poor management of a customer...
Read moreI used to shop Michaels a lot. Sometimes their coupons were frustrating. The buy one get another for some %off were horrid because they only had one in stock and they would not order the other one. But the worst is when they started carrying 3rd party stock in their Michael's store. They would send out 30% off regular priced items but not the 3rd party items. The coupon did not state that. Which items on the shelf, in the Michael's store, were not Michaels stock? Hard to tell until you got the item to check out and the coupon did not apply. Many times I found it cheaper to go to that third party vendor and got it cheaper than Michaels. No middleman, Michael's. Michael's needs to be more transparent in their shelf pricing. The nonMichael's items must have that stated on every shelf. I have owned my own stores for 45 yrs and this bait and switch pricing would never be used. Michael's customers be for...
Read moreAfter several separate visits, we have realized this store is definitely not like other Michael's stores we've shopped in. This store reminds me of shopping a big box store where you have to literally hunt down an employee, and pray to the good Lord above they are able to help find an item, a price, etc. Even if we're the only ones in line, we wait while cell phones are checked and messages sent via headset to who knows where. So much more important than a sale (which help keeps doors open and people employed) right?!?! The competition may occupy a smaller space but the overall experience is light years ahead. Liked this place mu h better when it was in the old location. Customer service was better and certain items more plentiful. Hope it gets better, but grateful to the alternatives...
