Sadly I have to rate this antique shop a 2 today. At first and for a while now it's my favorite antique store. Its beautiful inside & has a lot of beautiful antiques & a lot of beautiful furniture. It is two story high with plenty of space to walk around & get a good look at things. Which is nice since there is a lot of things to look at. I have frequented this shop on numerous occasions & since I admired the shop so much, I inturn shared it with many friends. Sadly today I regret doing so. I was willing to overlook the way my brother & I were treated at Christmas by an employee/owner (not sure which) when we were treated with a very short and unfriendly mannerism despite the $200+ we were spending at the time. In addition to the argument that took place over a $3 difference of price on an item (which turned to b we were correct, he wasn't wearing his glasses & didn't see the price properly) that took a good 15 minutes of our time and almost lost all business from us... . Unfortunatly today I was met with the same disaapointment. I arrived 15 mins till 5pm and I was going to go look at some of the little Hummel figurines which I collect. I was hoping to buy one when. Then owner walks up to me & very rudely and asks "what is it that you're looking for, can't you see we're closed?" Well, knowing I'm not a COMPLETE idiot, im pretty sure according to the business sign on the door there was still 15 minutes utill the shop closed. Those Hummel pieces run no less than $100 a piece. The way I see it he could have made at least one more sale for the day & had a happy customer for life BUT he made it very uncomfortable just to be inside the store, as if we were putting him out. So, long story short, needless to say; I won't be going back there again. Screw him & his attitude! I'll spend my hard earned money on eBay or something!! My suggestion, if you're looking for somewhere to shop & hope to get good customer service this is not the place. If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood store to spend your hard earned money, I suggest you go somewhere where you and your money will be appreciated and welcomed. This place does not deserve a dollar it makes due to his severe lack of gratitude. It's sad I really wanted to...
Read moreAMAZING shop. It’s two stories filled with high-quality, reasonably priced antique furniture. A lot of this stuff is truly unique, not your typical stuff you find in every antique store and it is really impressive. I came in to scope it out to identify potential birthday presents for myself the following week. Glad I did because I found multiple things I’m going to have to decide on. A must see even if you live farther away, well...
Read moreA large antique showroom, with some very interesting pieces, nicely staged (I actually overheard some children ask if it was a museum). The proprietor was very happy to chat with us and to look in the storeroom for unfinished pieces that matched what we were looking for. This will definitely be one of my first stops when looking...
