2 months ago the school did not have funding for a $15 carburetor gasket. When the students told the teacher we need parts to get a Yamaha running the teacher yelled and said all the funding was spent, we have no money to buy anything. So a night class was added they they can get more government funding. So a total of 4 classes (1)night and (3)day taught by one guy. The teacher owns a auto repair company( not marine related) and is very question as to why a car mechanic is teaching a marine class when cars and boats are completely different

The newest motors in the building are from Yamaha 2013 and not they don’t run. So we work on 1995-2013 motors. At ten years old the material we are learning is out of date.

When you ask if you can work on a motor the the answer is always no. They only motors we have worked on are 9.9hp. I came here with intentions of learning a career.
