I had a disappointing experience at Guadalupana Restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. After being seated, we ordered our drinks but were told we couldn’t order appetizers until later, which is unusual as appetizers are typically ordered with drinks. My entrée arrived promptly, and I finished my entire meal before they finally brought out the beans and rice. Unfortunately, I had to reject these as I can’t eat them alone.
The service was disorganized; we were told alcoholic drinks had to be ordered at the table, even though the cooler was located on the customers’ side. Additionally, we were only given one napkin to share between me and my cousin, and no extra napkins were provided. Salsa was brought to the table without any chips, and the shrimp cocktail lacked avocado, which was disappointing. The multiple servers earned no tips on this trip, which is a first for me. Overall, the service was poorly organized, and I would not recommend...
Read moreMy brother in law went to get soup , we have eaten here a few times and it was never anything special but he really wanted a soup at this time of night. When he went with his girlfriend and his soup came it tasted very off and plain and he asked if he could get something different after only taking two spoon fulls. When he asked if he could just order something different he was told since he put his spoon in it that no matter what he was paying for that soup. After she yelled at my brother in law in front of everyone in the restaurant and embarrassed him (he’s 19 by the way) he just paid and left. When he came home and told us and we called they talked to us like garbage and said that he should have said something while he was there which he did and got yelled at and embarrassed. The lady we spoke to was very rude , the food was never anything to brag about and the service was always trash. We will...
Read moreThis place was packed when we walked in, and I knew right away it was going to be a good meal, the auroma from the open kitchen was divine. My friend and I neither spoke much Spanish so we had to wait a little longer as the first person who attempted to help us during their rush didn't seem to speak English or at the very least she started in Spanish and the confused look on my friends face as he grabbed the menu to point might have lead her to believe we weren't ready yet. Either way it was well worth the wait. I was not patient enough to grab a photo of my pork chops with onions before I started eating so hopefully my empty plate tells you enough about how enjoyable this meal was. One of the staff from the kitchen area saw us using hot sauce and brought us a house made sauce.. possibly diablo based on my previous experiences in life lol 💯 I couldn't stop eating well past the point of 'full' will...
