Great learning environment for disciplined students with a desire to learn and earn a good education... Professor/Student ratio is low, which allows students to interact on more of a one on one basis with the professors if needed. Another attractive asset AASU offers its students is the lower cost for tuition . AASU's tuition is more affordable than many of the neighbouring college and universities in the South East, and the quality of education one can achieve at AASU is priceless. I've attended classes at several different college's in GA, and I have nothing but high mark's to give when it comes to Armstrong. There are other colleges and universities in the area as well. Of those that I've attended, I have nothing bad to say; however, there's something about the time I spent at AASU and the degree I earned there that's special... I know I'm not alone, many other's have shared their thoughts and opinions with me over the years regarding AASU. It's always the same with other's who've talked about attending Armstrong... I would advise anyone who's considering going to college and thinking about attending AASU, to go for it! You'll be glad you did. Be prepared to learn and to work for an education you'll be required to earn. Btw, if you're considering anything in the medical field, AASU will prepare you with a quality education you'll be grateful for throughout your entire...
Read moreSo this review goes out to the College of Health Professions. Recently my wife has been trying to go back to school to get her degree. I won't say what but it is involved in the department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences field. This past year has been torture on her. Not because the classes are difficult but because the administration is deplorable, lazy, unprofessional, and educationally lacking. One "Professor" in particular is teaching my wife's class without a degree in the topic. How can you "teach" CT to future technologists and not be certified to operate a CT machine?????? This is just the beginning, because not only is this McGee teaching a course she is unqualified to teach, but she is also telling her students that she's only in it to pay for her "Beamer." That is disgusting. It's no wonder that the healthcare field is suffering when the teaching institution in Savannah is relying on unqualified "professors" and emphasizing monetary gain over patient first practices. Finally when this was brought up before the administration of the Department they closed rank and dropped my wife's complaint, along with her grade. It infuriates me that Armstrong, and McGee in particular, is allowed to continue this bastardization of the noble pursuit of health...
Read moreI have been in the "process" of applying to Armstrong now for nearly TWO months. I got all my transcripts in to the admissions office, turned in all of the extra worksheets for financial aid, and applied to the college to take SUMMER classes. I thought I was good to go. I was waiting for someone from the registrar's office to call me so I could register for classes. For 20 days I waited for someone to call. I decided 20 days was too long and I called them. Come to find out I needed another transcript that I had not put on my application because I hadn't attended the college in 12 years and knew none of the credits would transfer. They knew I needed this transcript and never called or emailed me to let me know about it. I called today because I had the transcript PDF file transferred directly to them two days ago and was calling to check the status as of now. They still haven't looked at it yet. I am no closer to being able to register for SUMMER classes than I was over a month ago when I turned what I thought was everything in. I am so disappointed in Armstrong for the way they treat new students....
