Honest review. 1st time coming here. I ordered quite a bit of food and the bill came out to be almost $70. I'll start with my least favorite items and work up from there.
Steamed dumplings---Not really a taste issue, maybe more of a texture thing. Packed with pork, but just pork. Instead of complimenting the dumpling and blending well, you just taste pork.
Crab Rangoon---It's a shame really because the taste (of what I could taste) was actually quite nice. The wonton was crisp and tasted fresh...but the insides were not at all present. It all came out in the fryer. Shame.
Chicken fried rice---the fried rice is bland, and the chicken indeed has a mushy texture with not much flavor at all. It really is missing umami. They should really do something different about their chicken. It's just not very pleasant. You'll need quite a bit of soy sauce for this dish.
Chicken lo mein----same issue with the texture of the chicken except it soaks up more flavor here. The lo mein is actually seasoned quite well. No need for soy sauce here.
Beef and broccoli---veggies are cooked to perfection, beef is tender. Same kind of mushiness as the chicken, but not as bad. Seasoned well. Different than typical beef and broccoli.
Sweet and sour pork---beautiful crisp, won't wreak havoc on the roof of your mouth. Very tender pork. The sweet and sour sauce is not too sweet, which is a big preference of mine. Compliments nicely. A little expensive but you get A LOT of pork. Good to share.
Finally....my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. The WONTON SOUP. Oh man. Seasoned nicely. Beautiful clean broth. Wontons taste delicious and they ARE NOT stingy. It's just a delicious flavorful soup. So so good. I'll probably be returning just for the soup alone.
What I've had here is good, but it's not great. (Exception being the Wonton soup...GET YOU SOME.) You get your money's worth, they pack you up with food. I'll be going back for the soup. Next time I'll try some different items. Maybe I just ordered some of the least...
Read moreI want to first state that I am aware of the way the pandemic is putting a strain on everyone. Especially the take out businesses right now. The lady working here might have been having a bad day, I do not know, but what I do know is that she was EXTREMELY rude!!! I first called and she couldn’t understand me so she started to yell at me which by then I told her I will call her back but I evidently just went in to order take out. I’m pretty sure she didn’t know it was me because she was rude to the gentleman ahead of me in line. She didn’t greet me or say a word she just stared at me until I ordered. I asked if she had orange chicken and she told me to look at the menu. I told her I couldn’t find it and she said “it’s on there!.” RUDE! Whatever so I ordered my food and it came up to a whomping $40 and I couldn’t understand that but I honestly didn’t bother to ask because she couldn’t understand me (which I’m not complaining about) and she was so rude I didn’t even want to talk with her. When I got home I noticed stuff in my order I never ordered. I hate fried rice and there was fried rice with my order and an extra white rice container. Needless to say, I will never return. The food was decent but because of her nasty attitude I will never go back and I hope nobody...
Read moreFirst and foremost, let me say that the flavor of the rice is delicious. My rating is not based on the taste. I ordered my food on GrubHub for pick up. When I arrived, it was nice and presentable outside, but when you walk in, it looks like one of the old school fish markets back in Compton where I’m from. The guy had no clue what I was talking about. Nonetheless, I was able to place my order with no additional payment. I ordered shrimp fried rice with no peas and no carrots. Without failure, this is ALWAYS how I order my rice.

They don’t have scallions, which is okay but WHERE IS THE EGGS? Then, for $14, I got this huge thing of rice with some of the shrimp that wasn’t deveined. So in essence, I spent all of this money on rice, plain onions and tiny shrimp with poop in them.
I highly doubt if I...
