Read moreI wouldn't even give 1 star service. I have a complaint about the one of the frontier representative at Savannah airport. I have travelled from Savannah airport to Philadelphia on march 20 2023. I carried personal bag with wheels. The frontier representative stopped me at the gate to have my bag checked and measure in the machine. My bag did perfectly fitted in the space of personal item. But the representative declined that by saying that baggage has wheels. I was very embarrassed because she stopped me I almost talked for 15 mins and she is not agreeing . I am the last person to board the plane. I have been using the same bag from past two years no one stopped me at the gate saying that personal bag has wheels. It's disgusting the way that representative behaved. I haven't noted her name but she has curly short hair with black glasses and looks bubbly. She didn't even allowed me until the last minute. I travelled with my sister she didn't even send my sister back to me for help me because of the reason that she is already boarded. I was fed up with the person and willing to pay for the bag though I shouldn't. I was hopeless she is just being rude that I can't board the flight with the bag. She didn't even helped me to purchase the bag. I asked her to guide me to purchase the bag. She simply said I am not supposed to do that. I was really upset and had tears in my eyes because there is no one to help me and especially with the way she behaved. My pain was unbearable.
And today I just booked flight to Las Vegas in May with Frontier .. While reviewing the bag details and I see that frontier does accepts personal bag with wheels. Honestly, I was really thinking it was my fault till date because of carrying personal bag with wheels though the person behaved rudely. It's surprising that I went to all the pain on last Monday believing in the representative words that frontier doesn't accept bag with wheels as personal item. That's not really fair and I request any kind of compensation as I suffered a lot because of the person behavior. The person is a lady at Savannah airport with black spectacles and she is chubby with curly short hair. She was the one who checked boarding passes at the gate. I can really spot the lady wherever she was. I request you to provide any kind of compensation as I unbearably suffered on that day. It's bad that people are still treating the other persons so rude in the...
Read moreI’m a frequent traveler through Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, and it just keeps getting better. This airport feels surprisingly welcoming for a regional hub, with smooth operations, friendly staff, and thoughtful touches that make travel easier and a lot less stressful.
Travel efficiency and terminal experience The layout is intuitive: clear signage, fast security lines, and short walking distances between gates. Even during peak times, I rarely wait long, and the whole process feels organized rather than chaotic. Security is efficient and courteous, with staff who explain steps clearly and keep things moving without sacrificing safety. Boarding areas are comfortable, with plenty of seating and calm, well-lit spaces that help you recharge between flights.
Amenities and comfort Dining and retail options are solid for a regional airport—there’s a nice mix of quick bites, coffee spots, and convenience shopping that fits a traveler’s pace. Free Wi-Fi is reliable and easy to connect to, which is a big plus for last-minute work or streaming a show while waiting. The airport is well-maintained and clean, with friendly personnel ready to help with directions, gate changes, or local tips.
Customer-centric touches The staff across gates, info desks, and concessions consistently go the extra mile, whether it’s helping a family navigate with kids or assisting a business traveler with a tight connection. Clear announcements and real-time updates reduce the anxiety that can come with flight changes, making it easier to stay on top of plans.
Accessibility and convenience Parking is convenient with reasonable pricing and easy access to terminals. Short rides to and from the car drop-off zones save valuable time. Drop-off zones and curbside assistance are smooth, which makes a big difference when you’re juggling luggage and a tight schedule.
Bottom line Savannah/Hilton Head International is a surprisingly pleasant travel hub—efficient, friendly, and thoughtfully equipped for both leisure and business travelers. It’s a dependable starting point for trips to and from this vibrant region, with a vibe that makes you feel equipped and at ease as you head out or back home.
