The preserve itself is very nice, however it seems to need a little TLC. Not a lot of trail, the two picnic tables that were there were both broken, the posts with the numbers for the trails we're missing the numbers which made it difficult for you to know which trail was which unless you were familiar with the area ahead of time. Didn't seem like too many people visited the trails only because they were very rough still and not very well maintained. A fun little jaunt if you're looking to just get out and walk a couple of miles, you could easily walk the trail a handful of times and get a good day's exercise. Highly, highly, highly recommend taking lots of bug spray if you plan on visiting this reserve during the summer time. Obviously it's a very marshy area and the mosquitoes are abundant! As mentioned earlier this trail system in this particular reserve could be amazing with a little bit of work and some extra resources available to them. Hopefully there are others in the area that recognize how amazing this place could be, and being situated directly across the street from nine line clothing this park could have a high potential for a lot of visitors in the future.

We pulled into the road as marked by the GPS and thought, despite the "blue sky reserve" sign, that we must have pulled into the wrong area. Would hold maybe 5 cars. It was the correct area. You walk forward some to find a port-a-potty, table, and trail map. Trails are not marked at all sans 1 placard labeling trail 2. There were points we weren't sure if it was trail or just an organic clearing. All the trails are relatively short individually. Not much to see and heavy on the spiders and skeeters. Would recommend for people comfortable in the woods but maybe can't or don't want to walk long trails. There are exposed roots and downed trees to navigate but the paths are primarily flat. For an active person familiar with trails this was underwhelming.

Got here around noon today after the rain. Nice shady walk through the woods if not a little wet. The bugs were out in force, so I would recommend bug spray for these trails. My only real issue was the trail markers were either missing or in need of repair. Once I had my bearings it was an easy enough system to follow, but some of the paths are more overgrown than others and the markers don't help you at all.
