From my 1st visit to Phoenixville Valley Forge Dermatology the combination of rude staff, inconsiderate providers & inefficient billing practices was extremely frustrating. But the most recent incident caused me to search for another provider. The drug that I take requires a TB test & blood test each yr. So, I came into the office on my 2nd visit to get the TB test done. I had to come back in 2 days so they could look at my arm. The PA said I did not need to make an appt as long as I arrived before 4PM, someone would be there to look at my arm. When I arrived at 3:42PM on Fri all the lights were off and the door was locked. I called first thing Mon morning and explained the situation. The woman who answered the phone questioned why I was there at that time. I explained what I had been told and offered to send them the pic I had of my arm from that day. She didn't think a pic would work. The PA who gave me the TB test said as long as my arm looked normal I didn't have to do another test. I completed the bloodwork about 2 months later. After a week and a half of not hearing anything from the office, I called them. The receptionist said they received my bloodwork 2 days after it was completed, but the script had not been sent out yet, but she would make sure it was done. I waited another week to call the office again because I still hadn’t heard anything. The receptionist told me that the dr had been away all last week and just came back that day, but he would get to it. Another week passed without hearing anything, so I called the office again. This time the woman put me on hold while the dr looked at my chart. A different woman came on the phone stating that I needed to come back in for another TB test because I didn’t come back for the follow-up. I explained the situation from that Fri. She told me they close at 2 on Fridays (even though their website says 4) and that I'd have to also re-do the bloodwork because incorrect panels were done. I asked to get the results of the bloodwork mailed to me as I would be going to a different provider.
Even though the TB test was not viable (due to their error), I was never informed of this until over 2 months had passed. Even though the blood work was not viable, I was not informed of this until almost a month later after calling 3 separate times.
Because of their inability to do their jobs and communicate properly with patients I will have to wait an entire month before being seen by another dermatology office and starting the process of getting the drug I should have already taken. But to me it’s worth it, as long as I don’t have to deal with Phoenixville Valley Forge...
Read moreI have been seeing Dr. Zellis for roughly 28yrs. After seeing a different specialist for a condition other than my skin. The doctor I was seeing had me use different medicines to heal my wound. My wound was getting progressively worse to the point where I thought I was going to lose my limb. I suggested to my doctor about seeing doctors Zellis which they agreed to. when seeing Dr Zellis she knew immediately what to do to heal my leg. She is a highly educated woman who clearly loves her career and working with patients. Dr. Zellis has a very welcoming presence about her when she greets you and takes the time to check everything out on your body. Dr Zellis clearly cares about every one of her patients. I truly feel blessed that I was recommended to see her 28 years ago by my sister and that I'm still able to see her still. I would definitely without doubt recommend anyone having any skin issues to see Dr. Zellis, she is an amazing doctor. Every year Dr. Zellis continues to treat me with the utmost kindness. She never rushes you and takes the time to listen and answer your questions. You also get a very through body examination which allows you to leave with peace of mind. I would recommend Dr. Zellis to everyone. I wish more seasoned and new doctors would follow her lead! The staff working for Dr. Zellis are awesomely nice and caring as...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience with Rachel. I came in hoping to learn more about the type of acne I have, but my question was left unanswered. She claimed it wasn’t possible to diagnose my acne without knowing my lifestyle habits, yet she didn’t take the time to ask about them. I didn’t feel confident in her knowledge of my condition, and it seemed like the focus was more on upselling services than providing helpful advice. To make matters worse, she coughed multiple times, covering her mouth with her hand instead of her inner elbow, which was unsanitary and disgusting. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending this office. The only positive aspect of the visit was receiving...
