This was one of the haunts I was so excited about, but was very disappointed. The trail is long, but so many dead zones. The scares that involved air scares via mechanics felt way too powerful. I honestly couldn't hear out of my left ear for most of the trail. Been to plenty of haunts with this same scare and it does startle me, but it never was strong enough to cause loss of hearing (and I was practically next to them too, just like this location). Not only that, but there was a hole i ended up stepping in by the first air scare (possibly trigger for the scare?). I know they say to wear good shoes or boots due to uneven terrain, but this is too dangerous and needs to be fixed. I could barely walk most of the trail because my back was hurting from stepping in it. Thank goodness it was a pulled muscle and not anything broken. Some of your actors were very energetic, but too many seemed bored and didn't like their job.
Parking is absolutely HORRIBLE! No one was there to park when I arrived, and I got lucky to park on an end spot where I was able to get out. But overall, too many cars parked too close to each other to safely get out (but they managed).
As disappointed as I was, this trail is still good for young ones getting into haunts and even those who are a bit too nervous for something a bit more terrifying. Would I come back? Maybe in a couple of years to give them another chance. However, as mentioned with parking, that alone might deter me unless I get lucky with another good spot. And I was there before...
Read moreReally disappointed.. spent 50.00 for me and my 7 year old niece to go. Didnât get a single scream out of either of us. She jumped twice. And one was from an actor and one was from someone in the group behind us. For 20 acres of land to walk through i counted around 15 actors total. And 5 of those didnât even try to scare. They just stood there and looked âcreepyâ. Waited in a line for 2.5 hours and that was with us getting there early, i feel bad for those who got there later when the line was wrapped around and down the street.. i donât mind the wait if it was worth it. But it wasnât. There was PLENTY of opportunity for scares but the majority of it was emptiness. The props were good but not enough to scare someone. Also, the two of us were placed between two groups of around 15 people each. And they were WAY too close together. Not allowing the Few actors that were there to actually scare everyone and get back in place to scare the next group. So they just stood there and even one was giving out âknucklesâ in the meantime.. i worked for a small local haunted house and it was deemed as family friendly and it was still scarier then this...
Very disappointed. And i wish there was a way to post this on their Facebook page where more can read it but it doesnât allow for reviews. In my opinion you shouldâve at least scared my niece who has never been to anything like this before and was more scared in the ticket line then the...
Read moreThis was my second trip to the Fright trail. Last time was about 6 years ago and they've made huge changes over the years. I had a great time and thought everyone did a great job. As far as the long wait, I believe thats a mark of success and loyalty and that's something I can support. If there wasn't a line, I would wonder why? I hope all the people out there, who think they wasted their money understands that the proceeds earned goes toward schools needing computers and other teaching aids. Every person that works there is a volunteer and should be commended for giving their time freely. Think of all the people waiting in line, multiply that times $25, and imagine how much help that is to under privileged kids.
This is copied from their website... Since its inception in 2007, Literacy Inc.âs mission has been to fight the growing illiteracy rate in Americaâs teens. Weâve pushed towards that goal by offering motivational speeches, free books, an annual literacy challenge with cash prizes, and the opportunity for students nationwide to compete for and win a free college education.
Currently, however, the focus is on our home state as we undertake one of our most ambitious projects to date: getting an eReader into the hands of every public high school student in Louisiana!
I sincerely hope this helps people understand there's problems out there bigger than themselves. Thank you Fright Trail See you...
