5 Points Tattoo — Local services in Scottsboro

I do not recommend 5 points at Scottsboro. They are Very unprofessional and unfriendly. The shop is dirty and has no AC. I scheduled a job here and was put off three times and completely stood up the third time. The first visit he told me we could start drawing and then when I got there for my scheduled session he told me we weren’t going to do anything and handed my session to someone who came in behind me. Both times I showed up for a prescheduled session after driving an hour to get there, there was no one even in the front office to greet me. They were in the back laughing and talking. I waited 30 minutes both times for anyone to even come out and I had to text them both times. The third time Seth completely stood me up. I showed up for a scheduled session and then he says he’s in Kentucky driving home. I was given no warning or anything at all. He claimed his wife texted me but didn’t have service which seems unlikely as it should have automatically sent when service did become available. After waiting another 30 minutes for him to get there he proceeded to tell me they didn’t have internet and would have to go to Walmart to print a stencil. He then went into the back office again and didn’t show back up so I just left. This has been the most unprofessional experience with a so called business...

I’ve been getting tattooed by Kayla Linton at Five Points for years, and she has an incredible gift for taking even the simplest idea and reimagining it into something truly breathtaking. She’s created some of the most meaningful work I carry — from the bats on my face, to my father’s memorial in his own handwriting, to the recent rework of my late best friend's memorial piece cover and complete rework. Each tattoo holds deep personal significance, and Kayla has honored every one with unmatched artistry and care.

The shop itself is always spotless, welcoming, and laid-back, with amazing vibes from the whole team. The “no kids” policy (for obvious reasons) makes it a stress-free environment, and every artist I’ve interacted with has been friendly, funny, and genuinely invested in making clients comfortable. The music is always great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the experience is consistently five-star from start to finish.

I absolutely love my tattoo by Kayla. She did an amazing job reworking an existing tattoo I just wasn't happy with and now it's beautiful and I love it so much. I have a galaxy arm band and before it didn't look like a galaxy and now it is beautiful and reads as a galaxy immediately. Kayla does all color work and if you want an all color tattoo she is the one you want! All of the artists are very talented and Kayla was recommended to me by the very talented owner.
