Honestly the situation was a big let down after going to this location for a decade. I was looking at pieces with the jeweler and was just about to buy a ruby heart and gold chain that was in my budget of 150-200 or this very nice ruby with two diamonds (spending more would've been fine but that’s not how you keep a budget) however then Carlo came back and the jeweler had him take over the sale.

Carlo proceeds to tell me about how prices for everything went up in the last few years, ok. He’s not pointing out any of the same pieces the previous pointed out and is mostly alluding to he can’t help me more than this random ruby flower piece and once again a dainty chain. Or this extremely small, ash speck sized ruby. After telling me all this I said alright and he asks with a smile “you alight?” Like I’m supposed to cry from sticker shock of $220. I wasn’t expected to be insulted so early in the morning so I said I’d be going elsewhere still in shock. I would’ve paid more with no issue if it was shown to me as I always had there but that wasn’t the case. Just there’s not much they can do with that since it all went up so much.

I went here based on other reviews and the promise that this shop would offer the highest rate for jewelry around. I immediately, before the boxes were opened, was made to feel like I was wasting my time. The information provided by the store owner did not come off as expertise, but rather arrogance. I understand that I brought pieces from Kay’s and Zales, which are highly inflated, and went in expecting scrap value. I was just looking to verify what that was. When he offered $70 for a piece and I informed him it was nearly half of what another jeweler was offering. He said “I guess I’m just not interested”. Just like I’m not interested in giving any business to this establishment—— and my review will not be amended because I hope other people can avoid the same experience. Your advertising for this business is false. You will not “beat everyone else’s offers”. Maybe your advertising is what needs to be amended to avoid other people experiencing the same as I did. “Run back now to whoever offered you that money, because I’m just not interested” is not what you expect to hear from someone advertising as your business does. Uncomfortable visit. Nothing is visibly priced, they look it up as they go. Some is priced by the metal and fair. Some they look up the higher eBay listings to price in the moment, a practice I’m not fond of but whatever. The guy kept changing the total price on 7 pieces repeatedly at checkout. We didn’t haggle, he was just misremembering the prices he gave or maybe not great at math and caused a confusion. With just that it would have still been a 4 or 5 star review, but as we were checking out he misplaced (or miscounted) 2 pieces.

The way he kept saying they were “missing” and the lady changed attitudes with us felt like we were being accused of something, so I lightly suggested they check their cameras to help figure out where he misplaced them and the lady snapped about how many cameras they have and that she WILL be checking them. With the sudden attitude change and snapping, there’s no way we’ll be going back again. I don’t appreciate being treated like a thief, especially when I was very willing to sit there while they figured out the missing/misplaced/miscounted pieces. It made the whole experience pretty upsetting, especially as we had just spent a couple...
