Planet Fitness — Local services in Seaford

I had the pleasure of visiting this location on October 11th and 12th. I travel extensively in retirement, living in an RV for four years, and I've been to 20 - 30 different Planet Fitness stores, spanning Florida, Texas, and British Columbia, Canada. While I've encountered my fair share of rundown locations, in my experience as a customer, most Planet Fitness branches are generally in good condition and run well enough. However, this location exceeded my expectations in terms of care and maintenance.

Having previously lived in this area, I was pleasantly surprised to find this location since it wasn't here when I left. I assumed the store and equipment were new, but to my surprise, the store is roughly four years old. Despite its age, the equipment is exceptionally well-maintained, and the facility is immaculately clean.

During my workouts, I couldn't help but notice the diligence of the staff. I counted no less than four people actively cleaning, dusting, wiping down, moving equipment, vacuuming, and mopping. I must emphasize that I've never seen this level of dedication to cleanliness and maintenance at any other Planet Fitness store.

Furthermore, I used various equipment, and all the leather covers appeared as if they were new. The machines were in excellent repair, and the mats I used were in great condition with no tears, marks, or discoloration.

I did encounter an issue with one of the rowing machines, which I promptly reported to the manager. Within minutes of our conversation, she had the machine inspected and adjusted to work properly. While I understand that maintenance personnel are not always readily available, the prompt response from the manager (Amanda) demonstrated her commitment to customer satisfaction.

After two days of visiting this location, I am genuinely impressed by the management's dedication to cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and customer service. I absolutely love it here and the staff is absolutely awesome. Great place to workout and grab a tan and definitely use the massage chair after your workout you won't be sorry. Great place for your body and mind.

Now that I've been there for almost 2 months I'd like to update my review. Starting with a few of the staff that I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Amanda, Kim, and Kat are truly amazing people and are 1 of the reasons I look forward to going to this gym everyday. I have never seen any of them standing still they are constantly helping people, cleaning and showing new people around and they do it with a smile and such kindness. I love when I walk in the door and I get a smile and a good morning Gail and when I leave I always get a have a great day Gail. I love that person touch that they take the time to know our name and there's a lot of people. I have been to many gyms and a few different planet fitnesses from jersey to Delaware to Florida and even Oklahoma and the Seaford one is absolutely one of the cleanest and has the most kindness and friendliness staff. If there was anything I could change or absolutely recommend would be maybe taking out 1 of the tanning beds and putting in the total body enhancement machine that the other planet fitnesses have. I know people that live in seaford that go to other locations only because they have that. I know I was looking forward to that when I signed up but honestly as much as I would love to use that i stay at seaford because of your staff they truly make you feel welcome and comfortable so thank you girls for making my day brighter. Not helpful on joining and front desk was way to crazy busy to answer questions about membership and my 17 year old daughter joining. No trial period and joining in February means that in one month she has to pay a $49 annual fee without knowing if it's what she wants to do. I feel it should be one year from the date of her membership start time, not 40 days from start. I think she backed off because it's not fair for a new member to come up with a lump sum fee so soon. What a joke!!!! I was contacted and given a 1 day free pass for my daughter (17yrs old) I told them her age ahead of time when we went in. I was told she could join, she works and has her own bank account. When we looked rules and info it says 18 yrs and older. Unbelievable how these people just don't listen.
