I can understand if bottles are in a glass case that the store wants you not to go reaching for it, but when bottles are out in the open with no signs to "ask for assistance" or "please do not touch", why am I being told "You're not supposed to touch that." when I pick up bottle that's on the shelf but inside of a product box to get a better look at a particular batch of whiskey? I've been coming here for a few years and was never told not to touch any bottles.
Not even going to mention their prices and limited selection other than bottom shelfers (compared to other nearby stores).
2 stars for the convenience of drive-thru, but a lot of other aspects that made this a great neighborhood store are gone. Definitely won't be back, and I'd recommend the store literally down the street by Planet Fitness.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: "Excellent prices". Allocations and regular shelfers, we clearly have a difference of opinion on what "excellent prices" are regarding what you're advertising and listing. People like myself that WERE regulars and supporting your business saw exactly what your "better prices" were.
I mentioned I totally understood if products were in a case, but every day product out in the open on shelves for people to browse? If you're going to treat customers that way, like criminals, the minute they step foot into your business (especially when you have no sign asking people not to touch things), then yeah, you deserve to be blasted. But nice try playing the "small business"...
Read moreMilitary/retiree BEWARE One thing I have been keeping track of once i started noticing is that this business says they offer a military discount of 10%.....However...everytime the guy says I get a discount and this is multiple employees and various different occasions..they never say the total ...just ok got your "discount" .. I asked for a receipt now and can verify each time they dont give it to me... I have even waited a few times and asked what's my total just to hear them say it than say oh I have military ....to make sure they take it off .. Now I'm not being petty 10% is not a big deal however, if you are a small business and want to honor military Discount that's amazing being in the town we live in thats great but why lie .. 10% is nothing to lose. Customers for especially military .. I won't be back it's too much of a hassle and there are companies who dont need to lie
Response to owner:
Appreciate a response. However whether its 5% or 10 doesn't negate the fact it hasn't been applied numerous times. I think you may want to speak to your staff and or I can bring all the receipts I have to show you it wasn't applied.
Again it's not that it wasn't "enough" but rather why say its offered and then lie about it. Was my issue I do appreciate small business owners and there struggle however integrity should always be a key...
Read moreOne star is being nice.I live very close to the store and I have been coming here for years. I love interacting with most of the staff. Very fun and friendly. Nice to drive through without getting out of the car. One person always runs it all. The old guy at the window is rude and condescending. Likes to roll his eyes, be nasty and act like it is inconvenient to do his job and service the customers who support the business he is working for and ultimately signs his paycheck. I avoid going there when his car is there. I'd rather take my business down the road to Security discount liquor where I dont feel judged and uncomfortable. I tell everyone I know to drive 2 miles down the hill if they want...
