For my 1st time attending a concert at this location, it was OK compared to the many shows I've experienced worldwide. Pros: This is a very small venue, which I really loved. It gives you that up close and personal feeling with your favorite artists. There is a tiny indoor stage area with a Bar and single restroom and a larger outdoor stage with space to spread out. A few food trucks were at our concert event, enough Port-o-potties and several event swag tents to keep the lines short. Security was on their game, and I felt safe even in the center of the crowd. The staff, for the most part, was very friendly and helpful. The entry line/security check-in moved quickly once they let us in. Cons: There is no onsite Parking, only street parking; Plan to arrive early and walk. Our Tickets said the gates open at 5; they did not! When I asked the staff at 5:30 when they would start letting us in, I was told they didnt know. So I asked if she could ask someone who might know I was told I was being rude. They did send someone out to answer my question(which was amazing!) but only to find out that Gates open at 6 even when online, and tickets said 5. Not a big deal if it wasn't about to storm. At 6, because it was starting to rain, they held off letting anyone in because they didnt want their staff standing in the rain. Something that could have been addressed by adding a pop-up canopy for staff to stand under. Instead, we stood in the Rain and Hail and waited (our choice). The Drinks are $16.00 each. Most I've ever paid for a drink at a concert. There wasn't anywhere to wash your hands except for the tiny indoor restroom. Adding a hand washing station by the many port-o-potties would be great. There is no place to sit. Plan to stand the entire event. Finally, if you catch Something thrown from the stage, try to put it away out of sight. A group of people ran up to us as we were leaving the event and tried to rip the item from our hands that we were lucky enough to catch from the stage. Security came over quickly, but because their group was much larger than ours, security required us to give up our signed item to "keep the peace," Something that was 100% wrong! At this point, I may not be attending another event at...
Read moreThe folks that operate this place are shady, there's always some drama and they NEVER admit any mistakes or wrong doings. There's been several times when they say the show will start at 7. When in reality it starts at 8. Delays happen but they are never forth coming with updates. They instead would just change the time online and act like nothing happened. Beers are overpriced and they're way more concerned with image instead of good shows. They primarily get bands in the twilight of their career people they wouldn't have been able to book at the height of their popularity. The venue itself is nice but the people running it are not. Blacksheep across town gets better bands and don't lie and cover up their mistakes like sunshine does. If you support here you're just supporting the owner going on lavish vacations. You certainly aren't supporting local music here. They get local openers to open for bands who are 20 years washed up. I'd avoid this place since there's multiple better venues around. Not to mention the beer prices, super long lines and bad attitude of most staff. Oh yea and the horrible security. Their barricade is not connected, they are begging for someone fingers to get crushed. Huge liability! Theyre not even aware of this gigantic liability its a winabke lawsuit waiting to happen. (Youre welcome) They're miserable and it shows. Yes, we can tell. Hopefully they can do better in the future and stop their...
Read moreAs a fan of going to shows; this place is dingy and their sound is subpar. Almost every show I've seen I have to wait through seven bands for the main act. Usually it's a bunch of teenagers running things, so you can imagine how much order is held there.
As a former musician; playing here is a scam. They make you play shows with at least five other bands and expect you to sell around 20 tickets at average $10. Do the math. Then they pay bands next to nothing (unless they're touring - even if the have no draw). They tell you that they don't really pay because of what their cost of running is and because of the exposure you get. They figure 100+ people are there from the collective bands. What they won't tell you is most of those people there are grandmas s and parents of the other bands who will all leave after their kids' bands have played. So then all you have is the people you sold to.
The recording studio is an overpriced joke. I have yet to hear anything of quality come out of here. For instance, they talk the good talk, but then they have windowpanes in the recording room that rattle. They claim they can gate that noise out of the recordings, but that basically means they are doing everything in post with bad recordings ... so you'll get about the same result at your own house.
Stick with venues that...
